MAIN BODY
Identification and examination of the Gibbs reflective model with respect to the communication
and collaborative skills that are needed in an individual so that it can prove beneficial from
the company’s point of view
Gibbs reflective cycle is one of the most used framework n the current scenario since it
helps in analysing and evaluating the situation that is prevailing in the present so that appropriate
measures can be taken that can prove useful in the long run. It was developed by a person named
as Graham Gibbs in the year 1998 so as to give a defined and intact structural format to the
learning that has been done with the experience (Schivinski and Dabrowski, 2016). Since
communication and collaborative working skills possess a lot of value in the current market
scenario and thus this reflective cycle helps in acquiring new skills and improving the existing
one with full precision so that it can help the person to develop in both personal as well as
professional life. It is a cycle of refection that has six stages included in it and thus all of them
are explained in an elaborated way below-
Description- It is the first stage that is related with discussing and describing about the
experience so that a proper analysis can be done with this regard that can help the
individual to grow in the industry.

Feelings- It is the second stage that is related with evaluating the thoughts about a
particular experience so that the mindset of a person can be examined in detailed which is
very crucial in the overall analysis.
Evaluation- The experience that is received can be both that is good or bad but it is up to
the perception that which way the experience is treated so the positive mindset comes
into play in this stage and can subsequently help in getting the desired results.
Analysis- After evaluating the experience in terms of good or bad an elaborated analysis
is done of the whole situation so as to make a sense of the circumstances that are
prevailing in the present scenario (Lai, DiCerbo and Foltz, 2017).
Conclusion- It is a stage in which a conclusion is framed out so as to analyse the
learning’s that has been done by the whole experience so that different things can be
planned according to it in the long run.
Action plan- This is the last step or stage in the Gibbs reflective cycle that helps in
framing out an action plan so that in case if a similar situation arises in the near future
then it can be dealt in a more accurate and precise manner as compare to the previous
one.
I have gained a lot of things by this Gibbs model as it helped me to analyse, evaluate, and
implement my plans into action so that I can surpass others in the competitive market which is
very crucial in the industry. Description helped me to study each and every aspect in a very
detailed manner. While feelings aspect helped me to understand my feelings and all other things

that are related with it in a much elaborated way. Evaluation and analysis helped me a lot as they
improved my overall skills like communication, leadership, and critical thinking and also my
way of thinking. Conclusion helped me to conclude my plans and action plan helped me to take
all the relevant actions that are very important in the current market.

Identification and evaluation of the Belbin’s team role model in detail
Belbin’s team role model is one of the most important as well as crucial for the better
performance of various teams that are prevailing in the current circumstances. The team role
model that is mentioned above is divided into nine sub parts and thus all of them are explained in
detail below-
Shaper- It is a role that is given to a person that shapes the whole activity so that chances
of any types of errors can be minimized and thus it can add value to the firm as well as
the team in the long run (Ghorashi and Jensen, 2016).
Implementer- This role is given to a person that is expert in implementing the plan so
that it can prove helpful for the company in the long run and also helps in accomplishing
the goals and objectives in the industry in which the organization is performing.
Completer or finisher- It is the person that finishes the task with full accuracy and
preciseness so that the task can be completed well within a limited time frame.
Coordinator- It is an individual that coordinates with the rest of the team and ensures
that all the efforts are directed towards the achievement of the desired goals and
objectives.
Plant- It is the role that is most crucial since it is related with formulating new and
unique ideas so that the firm can stand well ahead of all its competitors that are prevailing
in the current market.

Resource investigator- This role is given to a person that investigates all the resources
that the company has so that all the functions can be performed in a smooth manner
without any interruptions.
Monitor evaluator- It is a person that evaluates the overall performance of the team so
that the actual performance can be compared with the standards so that deviations can be
examined in detail.
Specialist’s roles- These are persons that checks that all the tools are performing to the
best of their abilities.
Team worker- These are persons that work with unity by taking each and every person
with them so that it can result in the overall growth and development of the team
(Nguyen and Bednarz, 2020).
I agree with them since it is a better way to divide the work so that all the individual
know their duties and responsibilities towards the company and the team in general. All these
team roles has helped me a lot in building the confidence that I needed to lead a team so that it
can help me in the near future to get a desired job role in the company that I wish for.

evaluating the skills in detail so that appropriate and necessary rectification measures can be
taken well within time that can add value to the firm in the long run scenario.
