This report discusses the importance of community engagement, approaches used, and the difference effective communication, active stakeholders’ participation, and inclusion can make. It also covers the process used to achieve best practices. The report compares two programs and their approaches, and discusses the role of social media platforms in community engagement. INTRODUCTION
Community engagement is the involvement and participation of all the stakeholders that
leads of welfare of the community. It is the process of working in collaborative manner with the
special interest, geographic proximity, or similar situations that help to address the issues
affecting the well-being of those people affiliation (Campbell-Arvai and Lindquist, 2021). It is
effective way of ensuring that all the community members have access to social settings and
activities that contribute meaningfully to the activities. It is important to develop functional
capabilities that enable them to participate fully. The community practitioner focuses on taking
all the decisions in effective manner to provide them all the facilities. It is necessary to engage
the people in order to provide them effective solution of their problems. There is comparison in
two programmes and the approaches that are used by them in order to know about the best
practices. The approaches used in the programme are also mentioned in the report. The role
active consultation, effective communication, stakeholders’ participation, and inclusion can
make in community engagement is important part of this report. The use of social media
platforms helps to engage the community participants in effective manner and evaluation of
same is part of this report.
MAIN BODY
Difference between both projects
The project is related to providing food to the people who are unable to afford the same.
Covid-19 has impacted the living of people in harsh way and this is the reason they are unable to
get food to eat. The aim is to help the poor and needy people and provide them basic food and
fulfil their necessities. Quality food is provided to them so that the people are able to enhance the
life style of the people (Maher, 2019). They take local community initiatives that would help
them essential consumables to the individuals. They are provided quality food at affordable
process for development of the people. They take certain initiatives that help them to engage all
the people in community.
The Plunkett Foundation works with the purpose to help rural communities in the UK to
create and run community-owned businesses. They also work on the principle of community
engagement so that all the people het full support and help to carry on the work in proper
manner. They assist the community owned enterprise in UK. The community takes sustainable

actions that provide better place for the community members to live. They want to bring
cooperation and that is necessary for the wellbeing of people.
Community engagement approaches
These are the approaches that are being followed by the community in order to manage the
work and engage more people towards the community. There is need of working according to
such approaches so that the community is able to attain their goals and objectives (Poncian,
2019). The use all these approaches helps to engage the members of community in effective
manner and help others to become part of the community.
Community-based development is used to do the regional planning so that all the projects
are being executed properly. This helps in forming proper plans so that local funds can be
arranged. The food must be provided to all the people who are in need. By interacting will all the
stakeholders and engaging them proper planning can be dome. For development of the
community there is need of enhancing the use of resources (Osborne, Mayo and Bussey, 2021).
The use of proper development theory that can boost future benefits to society, build social
networks and enhance trust that will motivate the community to members to achieve the goals.
The group must involve development of all the people in the community for their overall benefit.
The use of community based strategy also assist in working as per the duties that are
being assigned to them. The strategies are build according to the capabilities of the community
employees so that they are able to coordinate with each other. The food community works to
develop the routines of all the people and provide them assistance to work according to shared
culture and support the networks. The families are provided opportunity to discuss and take
important decisions for their own benefit. The strategy is to support each other provide them
access to overall information (Wilson, 2019). The focus in on solving the problems of the
community members and providing food to the people who are in need. The strategy includes
covering more and more people and providing the success and growth.
The food community also uses Web-based engagement approach in order to engage
more stakeholders. There is need of following this approach so that they are able to target new
people and serve them. The use of internet and social media is important at the present time. The
focus is to make people aware about the facilitates provided by the community. They work to
provide quality services to the people so that they are able to maintain hygiene and lead a better
life.

Difference that effective communication, active stakeholders’ participation, and inclusion can
make in community engagement.
There are certain important aspects that must be used in community engagement is order to
attain better results. These make a huge difference and helps to make the organisation stronger in
the market. The use of all such strategies play a critical role and they are able to overcome all the
issues that they face (Mbah, 2019). There is need of coordinating and engaging all the
community participants in order to manage the working in proper manner. The important aspects
are mentioned below:
Effective communication is a must for enhancing the community members. It helps the
people to develop relations with one another and manage their working. The regular interaction
among the members is necessary to build good network. The members ae able to share the
problems with another and this assists managing the overall community in effective manner. The
food community ask the problems and issues that are being faced by the community so that the
work is carried in effective manner. The decision making is also facilitated and the members are
able to coordinate with each other in order to manage the working and achieve the goals and
objectives in effective manner. There is need of communicating with the member’s ion regular
basis as it motivates them and create effective working environment. The use of proper
communication is important and necessary for the stakeholders as they are aware about all the
data regarding the community.
Stakeholders are important for every organisation It includes set of people who are
interested in the information if the organisation and have stake in the enterprise. All the
stakeholders internal as well as external play a major role in the community. By involving the
stakeholders, they are able to take all the necessary decisions in proper manner for their overall
growth and success (Mehta, Sarvaiya and Chandani, 2020). The stakeholders have power in
decision making and their participation is necessary to take all the important decisions. The
employees of the community are important and carry on the important work related to
operations. The community members are important for the community. It is necessary to involve
them in decision making and working in their favour. The real success can be achieved when all
the stakeholders are involved in community and they are given proper respect and value then the
community is in benefit. This is necessary for overall success of the community.

Inclusion can be defined as having mutual understanding among all the stakeholders.
There is need of building effective relation among the stakeholders and all the members of
community. All the needs and wants of the individuals is given personal attention. There is need
of managing the overall work. The practice of inclusion helps to bring overall success in the
community that is related to all the members. The community is able to maintain balance and
effective work if they include inclusion in the community development.
Process used to achieve best practices
There are certain kisses that are created at the time of working. The communities also face
some issues and there is need of working and identifying the best suitable practice that can help
them. There goals and objectives must be clear so that the community is able to follow the
approaches and attain a successful position (Mtawa, 2019). The benefit of all the community
members must be attained. There are several steps that must be followed in order to attain best
practices.
Start with research: It is necessary to carry on effective research so that the real problem
is analysed. After Covid-19 the problems related to scarcity of food enhanced and the poor
people were not able to get food. The basic necessities were in problem. There is need of
identifying the problems that are faced by the community members and then working on same.
The food must be provided to all the people who ae in need so that they are able to live a better
life.
Community Mapping: To attain success in the overall work the community must map all
the important activities in series. The proper plan must be developed by the community members
so that they are able to work in systematic manner (Lawton, 2019). After the problems of the
members is being understood the next step is to for strategy to solve the problem. All the
necessary actions to solve the problem of members is taken by community and the same are
communicated to all.
Social Media engagement: The use of social media platforms in order to engage the
member is necessary. At the present time most of the people are attracted towards social media.
The food community uses Facebook and Twitter to engage the people towards the community. It
helps them to manage the overall work and attain the target of engaging more and more people

The use of social media enhances the awareness in the mind of people are able to get benefit.
Monitor performance: The last step is to measure the performance of community. There
is need of checking the gaps in the actual and planned performance. Then actions are taken so
that best results are undertaken (Murphy and McGrath, 2018). The use of best practices is
necessary to serve more and more people and provide them effective services.
All these steps help the community to achieve best practice and get best results. These are
necessary steps that the community must undertake for the overall success of the community.

CONCLUSION
Community engagement is the process of working in group and solving the issues faced by
the people. The task is to help more and more people and solve the issues faced by them. An area
is selected and all the people facing similar problems are the participants. It is important to make
them aware so that they are able to take benefit of the services. The special interest of the people
is given proper attention. There is need of benefiting them by solving the issue and address all
the related problems. The social benefit is being provided to the members. All the stakeholder
plays a major role in success of the community. There is need of managing the stakeholders and
enhance their participation. The use of best approaches by the community make their operations
effective. There is requirement of choosing the best practice that makes the community
successful and serve the needs and wants of all the members. The use of social media platforms
is necessary to engage the stakeholders. By enhancing the participation of all the stakeholders the
community is able to take better decisions. The use of all these actions helps the community
members to solve all the problems and manage the working in proper manner.
