1COMMUNITY HEALTH PROMOTION Introduction: The importance of the healthy rate of aging has been intensifying on a gradual rate with the growing prevalence of the issues related to health. According to the epidemiological studies, 11% of the population of the world is over 60 years which will eventually increase to 22% by 2050 (Wiles et al. 2012). For the vulnerability during the process of health, the older population needs specific health care services for the provision of a healthy living. Hence the primary aim of the healthcare sectors is towards fulfilling the criteria of the older population. The following case study illustrates the aging population of the community of Wollongong between 2036 estimating the rate of population of people aging 6 years and over more in number as compared to the people under 15 years of age. The paper aims toillustrate the characteristics of the community with one of the primary and the secondary data sources and the requirement of the aged population in the below paragraphs of the essay. The characteristics of the community The social cohesion and the determinants of heath are the important factors needed to be considered for the understanding of the community. Wollongong is one of the community population residing in the seaside of New South Wales of Australia. Composed of 29% of aboriginals within the population, this community incudes the population of aged people within the range of 65 years more than the young generation belonging to age of 15 years. According to Gaertner et al. (2016)this scenario indicates the high rate of mortality which exceeds the birth rate within the community. Hence for the effective understanding of the community and the communal requirements, it is essential to consider the characteristics of the community that includes the rural and the suburban types, the geographical boundaries, the places or the

The primary and the secondary resources towards the community understanding Due to the rapid aging of the Wollongong population there has been the increased need for the understanding of the integrated factors regarding the community contributing to the rapid aging process(Bone et al. 2016). Towards taking the insight in the situation for gaining the understanding of the community, the experimental studies and the field report conducted by the practitioner of the health promotion in community of Wollongong would be the potential primary source. Some of the main reasons for the purpose of the research for the collection of the information or data like the number of the individuals in community that includes gender, age, ethnicity and race , racial discrimination, employments rate, nutritious status, housing , mental health and violence rate challenges that is directly communicating with community individuals (Antwi and Hamza 2015). The journals which are peer reviewed in based on the governmental surveys, the community and the interviews from the electronic databases which are mostly suitable secondary sources. This is because the peer reviewed journals researchers documents the internal factors of the community that cannot be observed from the point of lay man for helping the implementation of the evidence practice also together with the proper identification of the unique need of the individual and the accurate health promotional for the community. The need of the aged population First Journal According to the accumulative literatures it is illustrates cognitive decline as one of the key players contributing the rapid aging. For the purpose of understanding the need of the older

(2018), the authors of this article conducted the interview for understanding the perception of the older individuals with the cognitive impairment over the cognitive rehabilitation. As explained within the article, the authors conducted an interview which has been an effective qualitative study where the respondents are the targeted group having certain criteria. It thus helped the researchers towards the gain of the perspectives of the participants sue to the interview that not only assist towards the gaining of the factual data but also emotional data. The methodology of the research paper in focus would be effective to be take in account for gaining the understanding of the need of the older individual in the Wollongong community. It would be beneficial for the consideration since it would provide the opportunity towards the health practitioner and the participants for focusing of the internal factors leading to the rapid aging(Brinkmann 2016). These includes factors such as the relationship with the family members and the status of the metal health. The method prescribed in the article is advantageous for understanding the need of the community. Some of the disadvantages of the method includes the time consumptions and the dependency on the emotional data rather than the actual data. Second Journal One of the most reported and debated challenge of the aged population of the community is the domestic violence. As per the study conducted byRuelas-González et al. (2016), the survey of Mexico 2012 national health and national survey with the sample size of 8894 individual among the age range 60 years , there existed negative reports of health event related to aggression, violence and lack of proper health care, nutrition and food. The disadvantage of the method is the lack of comfort of the respondents towards the survey. Conclusion The process of the aging is defined as the procedure of the increase in the susceptibility of the individuals as they grow old. For the gaining of the data or the information of the community of Wollongong, the primary resource should be the experimental studies like the random control trials, the secondary resources and the cross sectional study while the secondary resources should be the governmental surveys and the peer reviewed journals.
