1. Introduction
Hongkong Poster which is based in Hongkong is a software development company. Their
main services included providing web-based solutions to their customers. They’ve built
their reputation on the field. Their employee count is over 1000 people. The company
engages in providing both long-term and short-term projects. At the moment, the
company had just completed a project that went on for over 15 months. This project was
being handled by over 25 people. This project allowed for Hongkong Poster to create
large revenues. In return, the company decided to reward their employees with a trip to
Malaysia which will be an all-expenses paid trip. This trip is being considered as a project
and would be managed by making use of PMBoK principles. As a result, this project will
have an estimated budget, a schedule, a risk management plan, a communication plan and
so on. Several other methodologies and techniques would be provided within PMBoK
guide and the same would be used to manage the goals of this project.
1.1. Objectives
The core objective of the said project is organizing a retreat for the 25 employees of
Hongkong Poster with a defined budget of 70,000 SGD. The following key goals is
essential:
To finish up the booking of airway tickets for each members as per the dates
planned.
To complete with hotel-booking on a twin-sharing basis.
To finish up preparation of a complete itinerary.
1.2. Deliverables
Preparing a list for all team members who would be heading out for the trip.
Visa approval for the employees.
Preparation of a complete itinerary.
Confirming the booking of hotels.
2-way air tickets.
1.3. Milestones
Selection of dates – 1st Dec, 2018
Finalization of all employees – 4th Dec, 2018.
Confirming and purchasing air-tickets – 15th Dec, 2018.
