Introduction
A recruitment policy is a statement on how company hire, it outlines the company's preferred
hiring practices and promotes consistency within your employee recruiting process. The
selection policy helps the organizations to take correct decision regarding the selection process
so that competent employee will be selected in the organization (Christensen & Grant, 2016).
The company adopts different policies to recruit and select competent employee in the
organization it is because of increasing productivity and to take competitive advantage.
However, there are several factors which influence the recruitment and practices of the
organization and leads in finding difficulty for the companies to maintain better functioning by
recruiting skilled employees in the particular job and task (Sarre & Prenzler, 2018). To overcome
this strategy organization use different strategies to do migrate employment so that it can gain
competitive advantage. In the project proposal, “Migrant employment: recruitment and selection
policy in Westpac Banking Corporation is selected it is because company emphasis more on the
international skilled migration so that efficiency and effectiveness in banking sector will be
maintained.
Proposed Question
The project proposal demonstrates that project will be focusing on describing that “What are the
variables used in recruitment and selection policy by Westpac Banking Corporation to make
migrant employment”. This topic is related to the field of HR it is because recruitment and
selection is considered the major process in managing the human resource of the organization.
This support in maintaining skilled workforce in the organization, therefore, for maintaining
better internal, external environment and human resource planning some organization does
migration employment so that productivity of the organization will be increased because of
hiring competent employee for the required job position (Sarre & Prenzler, 2018).
Background Information
Westpac Banking Corporation, commonly known as Westpac, is an Australian
