INTRODUCTION
The report is about the promotional materialthat is being used for the opening ceremony of
the official centre of complimentary therapies in the local area. A booklet is made with the
details about the complimentary therapies that are made available to the users of the health care
and social cares. The factors affecting the access are discussed and how the therapies are
regulated is discussed. The principals and the practices of the therapies are discussed. The role of
the complementary therapies in relation to the orthodox treatments is explained. The
complimentary therapies are compared with the orthodox treatments. Role of the complementary
therapy is discussed for the case study. The advantage and disadvantage of using the
complimentarytherapy are discussed. The effectiveness of the complimentary therapy are
discussed.

The complimentary services that are made available for the health and the social care users are:

Acupuncture
In this technique very fine needles are used to penetrate in the area of treatment and the
treatment is painless. The technique may include: cupping, Chinese herbs, laser, TCM remedial
massage and moxibustion. The patient will feel relaxed and refreshed; the results may vary from
person to person.
The technique is administered with the number of laws such as: drugs and poisoning
scheduling, skin penetration regulations and therapeutic administration.
Yoga
Yoga is designed such a way that it put pressure on the glandular system of the patient’s
body parts. Yoga increases the patient’shealth and the efficiency. The breathing techniques under
yoga bring the breath control to the patients this in turn improve the health and the functioning of
the body.
Some people should look to the medical advice before joining to the yoga therapies such as:
patients gone throw surgeries, pregnant ladies, people of age more than 40 years, patients with
pre-existing medical conditions and overweight and obese patients (Hall and et.al, 2017).
