INTRODUCTIONComputer system engineering course helps individuals to develop skills and knowledgerelated to development of computer systems so that they can meet the real time response. Thestudents from this coursework are able to design integrated hardware as well as softwaresolutions for the emerging technical requirements (Wasson, 2015). The report will discuss theskills developed by BEng course which are well utilized by Department for digital, culture, media and sport (DCMS).Evaluation of skills developed by BEng course suitable for employers inDCMSDCMS of UK government is responsible for supporting and improving digitaltechnologies and media communication along with the sports and culture. The operationalactivities and information management systems of department must be highly secure andeffective. The graduates from BEng course are trained to manage the computer networks andsystem performance. As most of the functional activities of department are performed throughdigital methodologies, DCMS will require system engineers as well. These system engineers arewell known to networking and transmission. Thus, the routine functional errors can be solved bythese experts (Laplante, 2017).The employers in DCMS are also required to ensure that data and cyber security are notcompromised. Computer system engineering graduates have efficient skills of computing, critical thinking, network communication, and control functions. These skills will helpdepartment to resolve their technical issues. The Office of communication (Ofcom) whichoperates under DCMS regulates the telecast and broadcasting issues. There is great demand ofnetworking skills so that systems and transmission channels can be maintained and managed.Without system engineers it will become challenging for the department to maintain the securitysystem security. During the coursework students are required to develop high proficiency incommunication and problem solving skills (Systems Engineer job description, 2018). It helpsthem to provide networking and system solutions as per the requirements of their customers.Department for digital and media formulates the strategies for the citizens which havediversified need. Thus, the skills of computer system engineers in the job will help them toprovide design solution which can meet the expectations of citizens from the department. BEng1
