This article discusses the basic requirements of computer systems, things to consider before purchasing a PC, different types of networks, advantages of optical fibres, and the downside of Wi-Fi. It also covers spreadsheets, databases, data cleansing, data warehouse, blogging, intranet, extranet, GIS, DSS, sensitivity test, and data protection conflicts.

Basic computer requirement
The minimum things that would be required are a monitor, a keyboard, a mouse, a
central processing unit or the CPU consisting of a processor, a motherboard, a random access
memory or the ram, a graphics processing unit or the GPU, a hard disk or the HDD and a
switched-mode power supply or the SMPS and a set of speakers (Tanenbaum 2016).
Things to consider before purchasing a PC
The most important feature that is to be considered before purchasing a personal
computer is the processor, the mother board and the ram. These three things define the
working process of the computer. In order to get better speed one needs to get the most recent
released processors like the inter i7, 8 generation (Abbott 2017). Apart from this the monitor,
keyboard and the mouse are also required for the input and the output of the system.
Networks
WAN- Wide area network or the WAN is the interconnection between the computers
over a network in a broad geographical area, a good example of this is the Internet.
LAN- The local area network or the LAN is the interconnection between systems in a
small area over the network (Paul et al., 2016). It can be wired connection or wireless,
example is the computers connected inside an office.
MAN- The metropolitan area network is the connection between the system is a
network spread in a large zone, smaller than the WAN connection but larger than the LAN,
example a smart city.

PAN- The personal area network is the connection between the systems inside a
person area like inside a home.
Advantages of optical fibres
Optical fibre is one of the fastest method used for the transmission of data. The speed
of the optical fibre is approximately 1gigabyte per second. These cables are also reliable
because of the strength of the cables that is more durable (Laudon and Laudon 2015). The
cables has a Greater Bandwidth than the older copper cables. Also because of the thinness of
the cables, it is easy to install.
Downside of WI-FI
It may look that that the available Wi-Fi signals are good for one to access the
internet, but these signals are pretty much dangerous for human beings and other living
creatures. The signals are known to cause many diseases in the living beings, especially skin
diseases (Pulkkinen, Verwijnen and Nurmi 2015). Also it is seen that due to excessive use of
these signals the number of many birds have reduced from the world.

Spreadsheets and database management systems
Spreadsheets are the computer programs that helps in keeping a record and analysing
numbers. It contains rows and columns, each having a pre-defined relationship. It also helps
in producing of charts and graphs (Gouhar, 2017). The spreadsheets works in the front end of
the systems.

On the other hand the databases works in the backend of the system. It can also be explained
as the electronic filling system. It is used for storing data in such a manner that a computer
can easily read and access the data.
Cleanse data
Cleanse helps inn the modifying the data according to the data ware house before
storing it in a data warehouse (Vaisman ., et al 2017)
Data warehouse
A data warehouse or DW are the central repository that stores millions of data from
different sources. It store the current as well as the historical data that are used by
organisation for analysing reports. Where the transactional databases are are used for storing
data and using the data for the purpose of daily needs, it may come from more than one
source but generally it comes from only one selected source.
Blogging
Blogging is a type of the online journal or an informational site that displays
information in a reverse chronological edict, with the latest post that comes in the front and
the older post coming at last (Sergio and Forsythe 2018). This helps a business to understand
the recent things that are done in a particular area. It also helps one small business man to
take ideas from the pioneers.
Intranet and extranet
An intranet can be defined as a private network which can only be accessed by the
users specified. One of the biggest example of this is the office premise network which can
only be used by the employees (Xiao-juan et al. 2016). Whereas the extranet can be defined
as the network that helps in sharing information of a business or organisation to people
outside the organisation. Only limited amount of information is accessible in an extranet.

Global information systems
A global information system or the GIS is a type of information system which helps
in delivering any information, which is totally measurable worldwide and fixed in a defined
content (Martin 2017).
Data Protection conflicts
In order to resolve this issue the organisation needs to set up their services in
accordance to the international directives, which are true for both the European and the US
countries (Fernandes et al. 2016). Also the organisation can follow the basic information
provided by the European directives.
Decision Support Systems
A design support system or the DSS are the interactive software based models that
intent to help the decision makers to combine useful information by combining thee raw
data’s and other documents , to identify the results, risks and other problems and helps in
learning the ways to solve this problems (Rajan, 2015). One of the best example of this the
data driven DSS, which helps in analysing the data. One of the other example is the document
driven DSS, which is a more common example.
Sensitivity test
A sensitivity test can be defined as the test done in order to check the uncertainty of the
output of the program or the model. Some of the examples of this are the scatter plots, the
Regression analysis (Power, Sharda and Burstein 2015). The sensitivity test helps a decision
maker in making a better result as possible.
Geographic information System

A geographic information system helps in capturing, storing, analysing and presenting
data in a geographical area (Chang 2017). This can help in understanding a better knowledge
of the systems that are used in a geographical area. Also it can help in making a area more
advanced by using these data’s.
