CPOE refers to Computerized Physician Order Entry that is a data entry system of recording the
medical practitioner’s instructions in the hospital setup. With the changing environment, every
industry is aiming to make use of innovative technologies present in the environment so as to

activity also eliminates the errors of transcription during the duplication of order entry. The
inventory management and billing process also becomes simplified with the use of this process.
This activity eliminate dual entry of same information in the environment due to which the
problem of error reduces in the environment. The work also gets completed on time because the

2017). CPOE is a part of a patient management software that is used to increase the efficiency of

process of CPOE initially analyse the details about the patient and store there information in
system so that in case the patient comes back then they do not need to repeat the details of their
medical history to the practitioners. Further, after identifying the patients and their history, this
system assist roles and responsibilities to the members and staff of the hospital who should take
care of the patient. After allocation of human resource, the material and medication is applied

placer. Fillers refer to the application of patient that is requesting a new service in the
environment. Order is the request for service from one application to second application. Place
order group is the list of several orders coming from the end of single patient in the environment.
Further, protocol refers to the standardized system used to initiate the clinical process on the
behalf of the physician linked with the case (Vecellio, and Georgiou 2016). Order detail segment
is the segment that carries information about the order to the concerned department. Order set
refers to the group of orders that are analysed by the licensed physician and are going into further
check-up because of their nature. Lastly, placer is the person initiating the application or request
