LO 2P3. Conducting primary and secondary research utilizing methods for research Costs : Costs estimation in project management includes estimation of expenses whichmight occur in execution of the specific research project. It is very much important for scholar todetermine an appropriate cost associated with the research project, as this will provide manage ran ease in arranging funds required for conducting investigation procedure. It will aid projectmanager in eliminating the barriers which might occur in research activity due to lack of funds.Management of costs is very much crucial in order to complete investigation in efficient manner(Kumar, 2017). In context of present study, the expenses are directly associated with purchase oftechnology, stationery, communication devices and other equipment required for conducting theinvestigation process. In relation to the research activities, major expenses are associated withaccumulation of the data through questionnaire method. Scholar in present study has utilized thebudgeting technique for controlling the costs. In context of present study, researcher have usedparametric estimation in order to determine the costs associated with execution of specificresearch project (Mackey, and Gass, 2015). Under parametric estimation, scholar has dividedproject into units of work, and then has determined he cost per unit, and then multiply thenumber of units by the cost per unit to estimate the total cost. The total costs of executing theproject which has been estimated by researcher is 1521240$. unit/ hrsCosts/ unit/ hrsWBS Level 1total % of total Projectmanagement Project managergroup members 9601920100$75$$ 9600$14400020.00%Hardware Handheld devicesServers1004600$$4000663 00 $$160005.00%Software Licensed softwareinstallation and100$200$2000040.00%

In addition to this, the factsand figures related to topic of research has been access through using primary and secondarysources. Some amount of data has been access through using internet. Ethical issues: It is considered to be as most crucial element which is required to be consideredby scholar before starting the investigation process (Glesne, 2015.). In context of presentinvestigation, researcher has informed participant about the purpose of research and has takenwritten consent from them in order to avoid ethical issues. Researcher in present study hascollected most amount of data from the primary source in order to eliminate the chances ofplagiarism. In context of present study, investigator has utilized the special computer softwarefor storing information so that the confidentiality of information can be maintained. P 4. Applying appropriate analytical tools for analysing research findings and dataThe different research methodologies has been utilized by scholar for conducting thevarious activities such as collection, analysis and interpretation of information. Researcher hasselected the research methods based in the nature of the task. While selecting the researchmethods investigator has considered the nature as well as purpose of the study (Flick, 2015). Incontext of present study, scholar has utilized the various approaches, philosophies and techniquesfor conducting the investigation process (Lasserre, 2017). The different research methods usedby researcher in present study are :Research type: there are basically two types of research these are qualitative andquantitative. Qualitative research is mainly concerned with collection of facts related to the topicof research. Quantitative research involves accumulation of numerical data (Blamey andThompson, 2017). Investigator in present study has conducted the qualitative research

considering the nature of the subject matter on which investigation has to be executed.Qualitative research is considered to be as an appropriate for present study as it helps researcherin gathering the detailed information related to the topic interrelationship between globalizationand the environment and its impact on businesses. Rationale behind choice to conduct qualitativeresearch is that investigator will get an ease in interpreting the information. Research design: It is the strategy adopted by scholar for integrating the variouselements in the research. Research design can be considered to be as various arrangement madeby researcher in order to accumulate, analyses and interpret information. It is plan for answeringdifferent questions. Selection of an appropriate research design is very much important in orderto make that problem has been addressed (Bell, Bryman and Harley, 2018). Research design canbe considered to be as a road map for execution of different activities such as collection, analysisand interpretation of data during the investigation process. The different types of researchdesigns are descriptive, experimental, exploratory and explanatory. Choice of research design iscompletely based on the nature of problem identified. Researcher in present investigation hasutilized descriptive research design. The reason for selecting the descriptive research design isthat it is a multifaceted approach which provides researcher an ease in collection of detailed factsrelated to the topic of investigation.Research approach : It is procedures which is designed by researcher based on variousassumptions related to the techniques which can be utilized for performing the different researchactivities such as data collection, analysis and interpretation. Research approach can becategorized into two these are inductive and deductive. Selection of the best research approach isvery much crucial in order to achieve desired aims and objectives. Investigator in present studyhas utilized inductive research approach (Turner, Cardinal and Burton, 2017). The inductiveapproach has been selected by scholar considering the nature and purpose of research. Reasonfor which investigator has selected the inductive research approach is that it helps in generatingthe meaning from the set of data collected from various sources. Inductive research approachalso assists scholar in identifying the patterns as well as relationship which is very much helpfulin context of developing new theory.Research philosophy: It is the assumptions or perceptions of different researcher aboutthe manner the facts or figures related to the subject matter can be accumulated, analyzed andinterpreted. Research philosophy can be categorized into two these are interpretative and

positivism. Scholar has utilized the interpretative research philosophy in present investigation. Itis considered to be as a suitable approach for present study as interpretativism providesinvestigator an ease in interpreting the elements of study. Data collection : It is the procedure of accumulating the facts and figures related to thetopic. Information collected from primary and secondary sources helps investigator in finding theanswers to different questions (Quinlan, Babin, Carr and Griffin, 2019). Selection of the bestsources for gathering information is very much important as it has direct effect on results andinfluence on decision taken by the researcher. Scholar has utilized both primary and secondarysource for collecting the facts and figures related to the topic. In addition to this, primary datahas been gathered by using questionnaire method. Questionnaire form is prepared by investigatorbased on the purpose of study as well as nature of problem. Open ended question has beenincluded in the questionnaire, as researcher perceives that it will assist them in getting therel;event answers to questions. Secondary data has been accessed through using books, Journals, articles, few sites on internet etc. Sampling : Considering the time as well as resource limitation, researcher has conductedsampling activity. There are several sampling techniques such as random, purposive, probability, non – probability, stratified, system random, cluster etc. Among all these sampling methods, investigator has selected 30 managers as participants in research purposely. The reason for whichscholar has selected managers as participants in research is that investigator perceives that theyare the stakeholders those who have much knowledge about globalization and its impact onbusiness. In present research purposive sampling technique has been used by scholar.Data analysis: It is the most important research activity which helps scholar in reachingto the conclusion. Data analysis in research is mainly concerned with refining of data in order toextract meaningful information. Investigator in present study has used thematic analysistechnique for analyzing the information (Pandey, Pandey and Van Ryzin, 2017). Reason forchoosing the thematic analysis technique is that it provides researcher an ease in identifying thecommon pattern within the responses provided by participants. In addition to this, it also assistsresearcher in making research report useful to user and also presentable.
