1 CONSTRUCTION DESIGN DOCUMENT 1.0.Project definition and scope: The deliverables that are provided in the project within the project scope are the followings and this is considered throughout the project execution. ďˇEngineering Report: Engineering report provides technical information about an ongoing construction project. This report consists of some clear objective, which will be showing all the tested and compiled data and must contain a summary of the results. ďˇProduct quality enhancement: The product quality enhancement can be achieved through optimization of the raw material fitness, raw mix design and intermediate and final enhancement of the products. ďˇProposals: Proposal is detailed description of the activities that will be performed within a project. The proposal provides logical presentation of some research idea provides significance of the idea. Through the project proposal the feasibility of the project is determined. ďˇDesigndrawings:Designdrawingisverymuchimportantwhichisusedfor developing and communicating the ideas about a design which is being developed. ďˇDesign documents: In the construction project the design document is considered as the starting point of a working on a construction related project. This design document is prepared before performing any type of actual work. ďˇA completed product: Here the completed product refers to the construction project on which the organization was working on. It means the project has been successfully executed by the organisation. ďˇA site investigation report: The site investigation report documents the collected information, the data regarding the appraisal. This report also includes demonstration of the hazards without which ground beneath the site will be unknown.
2 CONSTRUCTION DESIGN DOCUMENT ďˇAny design reviews: The design reviews is considered as the milestone regarding the product development process in which the design is evaluated against the requirement of the design for the verification of the outcomes of some previous activities for the identification of the issues. ďˇProgress reports: The progress report is used for informing the supervisor, customer or the associate about a project progress over a definite period of time. 2.0.Major challenges: 2.1. Challenges specific to the project in context of architecture discipline: ďˇDesign that is made for construction often has issues. Sometimes design are often complicated to execute ort need modification accordingly. ďˇDesigns are not made with project requirements. This might happen as designs requirements were communicated with the designer and architects are not properly interpreted (Jetty 2016). This leads to a design document that is not consistent with construction materials ďˇArchitects often lacks proper knowledge that is required to develop a feasible plan to implement it in real world project. reasons are ether they are not well accounted with design procedures due to lack of practical experience which is required to develop plan for complex construction project (Salvatierraet al.2019) ďˇSometimes approved design needs changes and modification due to construction site issues like adverse weather conditions, project budget, and schedule. 3 CONSTRUCTION DESIGN DOCUMENT Execution of construction projects are challenging as it has various issues which needs strategic evaluation (Mubarak 2015).According to Lin, Ho and Shen (2017), some of the common issues of constructions project are: ďˇWorkforce shortage might be an issue in the project, which is one of the critical issues in the construction industry today (Walker 2015) ďˇLabour cost is another significant issue in the construction industry as labour shortage is there. Hence, this might be a challenge during the construction phase of the building ďˇWaste of construction material due to adverse conditions in project site delay project implementation and increase project cost as well. Hence, this is a possible challenge for construction of the building (Searset al.2015) ďˇLabour injury is another significant challenge in the construction industry. Labour injury not only delay the project but project authority has to face legal consequences. This is hence a significant challenge in this project 2.3. Challenges specific to the project in context of project management: ďˇProject scope is poorly defined. Even if sometimes, the project scope is well defined, project execution often lacks consistency with project objectives due to lack of proper planning and coordination. ďˇStakeholder conflict is a major issue in construction project management. The construction project has done many stakeholders that it often becomes impossible to manage each stakeholder while ensuring their interest in the project. ďˇSchedule delay is often a significant issue, which makes it challenging to finish project without compromising in quality of construction. ďˇIt often becomes challenging to restrict project execution within approved budget, as there are chances of schedule variation.
