INTRODUCTION
Business management refers to the process of coordinating and managing various activities
within the firm so that greater profits might be earned in future. Also, the present report is based
on the Morrison that is well known UK brand and will analyse the role of digital technology and
its impacts on current working of the firm. Moreover, the study will also identify how talent
acquisition strategy is been followed and its major impact on achievement of certain
organisational goals and objectives. Moreover, the role of change management in gaining
competitive advantage will also be discussed in detail. Lastly, significance of proper learning and
development culture within the firm by various training programs and impact of it on current
employees will also be analysed under this study.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays very important role in making the business processes
faster and smoother in the long run. Also, in context of Morrison it can be said that through use
of artificial intelligence the company had been able to reduce the labour work and also
unnecessary cost and wastage that would be otherwise caused from any kind of human error.
Moreover, the major impact of AI is that it has helped in increasing the overall productivity and
helped in optimizing most of the business processes (Pirola and et.al., 2020). Furthermore, in the
current era role of AI is to allow the business to carry out the large scale business operations
through simplifying the work activities and helping the business to carry out various
departmental level works in smarter manner. Also, artificial intelligence is best in terms of
allowing improved user experience to large number of customers located in different parts of
world (Kraus, Kraus and Osetskyi, 2020). Moreover, through use of AI such as robots the
business is able to carry out most of the work 24*7 without having any kind of the problems than
compared to the human that are responsible for carrying out activities only for limited time
frame.
Also, Morrison is using the AI services from the Blue Yonder that is specialized in
providing the best technology solutions to various companies. Further, it can be linked to HR
theory that is currently followed within the Morrison that is comparative advantage theory that
states that goods need to be produce in way that it helps in gaining competitive advantage in the

long run (Ciarli and et.al., 2021). Also, through applying this theory the HR department of
Morrison has proposed that the firm need to focus more on internal capacities' so that better
competitive advantages might be gained in against to the competitors in long run. Thus, the AI
was launched within the workplace so that there is faster delivery of goods and also proper data
record might be maintained for all the business transaction for gaining any kind of future
references.
Furthermore, AI has always helped the business in developing any kind of competitive
strategy so that more market share might be covered in the long run. Also, in context of Morrison
it acne be said that it is following the cost differentiations strategy where it aims to provides at
the goods at low cost (Magomedov, Murzaev and Bagov, 2020). Thus, with use of AI systems
and software’s at the workplace it would be easily able to gather the data about work processes
and the problems they are currently facing thus saving the unnecessary cost of the business for
the future. Morrison s is than able to gain sustainable competitive advantage against some of the
top competitors. Moreover, with the use of AI the firm is able to develop strategies that will
allow in building best customer relationships among large target market areas in various regions.
Also, through collecting the timely report of the employee working data the firm is that able
to arrange various training programmes for the workforce so that areas of improvement might be
found out and thereafter certain skills in employees might enhanced in carry out various job roles
in best of manner. Further, this might be linked with the Maslow motivation theory that is used
within Morrison to motivate the workforce so that greater employee retention level might be
maintained. Hence, through data collected through AI systems the firm is able to devise better
rewards and incentives plans for the workforce for future purposes (Advantages and

within the organisation is that HR and other departments within workplace are totally dependent
on AI programs to build certain operations that only reduce the thinking and creative power of
nay individual to handle any kind of complex situations in best of manner,. Thus, it can be said
that technology had on benefits and the demerits and business should always develop strategic
plans through analysing the market and risk properly.

management
Talent acquisition is practice that is adopted by the any firm for recruiting, on boarding and
providing training to new employees so that work might be carried out smoothly (Guerola-
Navarro and et.al., 2021). Moreover, it is long process that is carried out the firm through
conducting various assessments and interview sessions so that right candidate might be chosen
for the job post. Also, talent acquisition is very essential activity within firm as if right
candidates are not selected for certain job roles than it would only lead to poor productivity and
wastage of resources at the workplace (Mohapatra and Sahu, 2018). Moreover, such
unproductive staffs lead to the poor decision making and lack of motivation within the mangers
and other employees. Although talent acquisition is good for any organisation but the firm need
to keep in mind long and short term goals it need to achieve in the future so that accordingly
right job roles might be identified.
Furthermore, in context of learning and development it can be said that this process helps
the company to retain the best employees within the organisation for longer timeframe and also
ensures that companies earn higher profits from the talented employees (Fleaca and Stanciu,
2019). Moreover, in the current global competitive environment where there is high level of
competition it is very important that proper training programs are conducted so that certain skills
and competencies are developed. Also, it helps employees to work in the changing business
environment without many problems. Furthermore, through such learning activities Morrison is
able to attract more number of potential candidates for various regions for new job roles than
comparison to other retailers that are struggling to find new sources of talent easily from external

In the context of change management it can be said that Morrison is working globally and
therefore it need to look into certain factors that might impact the business working. Also, it
needs to ensure that proper changes are brought within both internal and external business
processes so that efficiency is maintained and it is able to sustain in the market for longer time
period (Buschow and Suhr, 2022). Furthermore, change might be brought up in various things
such as goals, processes, technologies, organisational structure and much more depending upon

the situation. However, the methods that are devised to implement change within the current
system needs to be researched properly so that later on there is no wastage of the human
resources and negative working culture within the workplace. Moreover, in Morrison if there is
lack of effective communication channels while managing any kind of change than it would only
result in the conflicts among the people and higher Change-resistant culture among various
levels of employees. Even though change management might create problems but it is necessary
