conduct all type of work in effective and appropriate manner. By this manager of a company also
able to manager and monitor their employees in proper way which will leads to succession of
business. Along with this they also able to solve problems as well as issues of staffs which leads
to productivity as well as satisfaction of employees, through which an organization able to attain

This report is based on ASDA which is a subsidiary retail store, established in year 1949 by Peter
and Fred Asquith and Sir Noel Stockdale. Its headquarter is in South Bank, Leeds, West
Yorkshire, England and approx 663 location on which they are operating. Topics which are
going to explain in this report are about respective company, its history and why this is selected
for report. Along with this it include vision, leadership style and management practices adopted
by company and how it can be adopted by company.

well as services related to finance. Moreover there are approx 165000 number of employees
working in this store. The respective company is operating business in main two subsidiaries that
are ASDA mobile and ASDA money. They are operating their business operations and functions
in approximately 633 locations (Belbin, 2012). Mission statement of ASDA store is to become
Britain's one of the best as well as valuable retail store by fulfilling and exceeding needs of
customers always. Moreover vision statement of respective company is to develop and design
appropriate products and services which fulfil need of customers in affordable price.
The first store of ASDA is established in year 1963, for which Asquith brothers
converted an old theatre building into supermarket with self service. Then in year 1965
respective peoples approaches and send proposal to Associated Dairies to develop as well as run
their butchery department at their small store. After some time both companies join together to
run business and they named is as ASDA (Asquith + Dairies). In year 1970 ASDA started
