INTRODUCTION
Business is an activity where an enterprise offers a finished good or service to customer
or buyer in return of profit or monetary gains. Carrying out effective service to meet the
customer needs is the basic aim of a business. Effective business operations can be executed
using the strategic management measures and leadership with use of various theories. The
present report is presented in respect to UK based retail enterprise, Tesco plc. The report will
provide a brief history and summary of business with a rationale. The vision of the organisation
is discussed with leadership styles and management practices. Also the implementation of these
measures with the selected enterprise and suitable recommendation for improvement is been
presented. Other than this, proper designing and development of the organisation is been carried
out.

Tesco plc is a UK based retail enterprise that is headquartered in Welwyn Garden City,
Hertfordshire, England. It is the world’s third largest retail enterprise on the basis of revenue and
one of the leading retailer in UK. The firm is one of the major market leader with the extensive
product portfolio and loyal customer base (Bhamra and Lofthouse, 2016.). This helps the
organisation to carry out their merchandising based services and activities in much effective way.
Besides this, the organisation is also known to operate in many other sectors too apart from the
retail sector like banking, publication and telecommunication. All these operations are turned out
in practice on the basis of strategic planning and effective leadership that helps the selected retail
enterprise to improve the quality of operations and gaining the trust level of their customers.
Suitable planning is based on the growth measures undertaken by the organisation will help in
improving the sales and overall growth of the organisation. The effective planning will be
