Introduction
An airline is a company which is providing air transport services in order to travel
passengers from one place to another. The company used to utilize the aircraft's in order to
supply their services and main form partnership or alliances with one another companies under
any contract which helps them to give best offers and operate the same flight into many
territories (Williams and Endacott, 2019). The report is based upon British Airways which is the
second largest UK based carrier, fleet size and passengers carried company. The company was
founded in the year of 1974 and had quarter is located in London. The company used to provide
their services in more than 183 destinations. The report is being discussed about micro and
macro factors which affects performance of the company. Further, the report is being discuss the
about how the company is addressing there is strength in order to neglect their threats and
weaknesses which is affecting their opportunities which are present in the competitive market.
There are several different leadership styles which help the company to operate their functions
and a recommended suitable leadership style. Lastly the corporate social responsibility is also
discussed.

Strengths:
The number of safety incidents and accidents has fortunately been very low with the
British Airways. Only there were three e holes loss incident and to hijacking attempts
were Inception in the year of 1974. The company was ranked within the top 20 safest
Airlines around the globe as it in developing a highly reputed company.
There are several strategies which are adopted by the company in order to focus on
becoming a sustainable brand in the competitive market (Misra, 2019). The British
Airlines used to put money into the important so that they can focus in order to expand

their International network while improving their Technology so that they can over on
give a positive experience to both customers and their employees.
Weaknesses:
Rolls Royce Engine trend 1000 engines has generated many problems for the British
Airlines. As the company has now limited by the aviation Agencies after it caused a
significant entrance to the British Airways.
The British Airways mostly sane lies on the primary sales in UK market for its generation
of revenue. Due to covid-19 and brexit has impacted their sale so with respect to the
revenues the companies unstable.
Opportunities:
Expansion into international market is the best opportunity which can be adopted by the
British Airways so that it will be helpful in order to stabilize the revenue sources for the
airlines and will increase the number of customers also (Byrne, 2020). The company is
already spreading out International root system so that they can attract the new and old
customers which resulted in enhancement of sale.
The company's already showing the excellent result in order to manage their work
through the digitalization. This means that there is an endless error of new opportunities
which can be adopted by the company.
Threats:
Due to covid-19 where the first thing is shut down to hit the coronavirus as this resulted
in master head on the revenue of British Airways.
The increase of competitors in the market has resulted in decreasing of market share and
distributed it among the other suppliers. The British Airways required to constantly need
to fight off with the competitors as it requires the time efforts and constant spending of
money in order to defeat the competitors. It is important for the company to have a deep
knowledge with respect to their market and customers.
External factors
The Macro environment will be identified with the help of PESTEL analysis model. This
model helps the organisation to determine the standards long-term market and influences which
are present in the competitive market (Haller and Wissing, 2020). The model is discussed below:
