AI Summary
This report delves into the concepts of convergent and divergent thinking models and their influence on learning and behavior, focusing on how the brain develops habitual patterns to operate efficiently. The report explores the application of these models, referencing Stephen Covey's principles on leadership and synergy, and utilizes Rolfe's reflective model (What? So What? What Next?) to analyze the impact of these habits. It discusses the importance of developing good habits for enhancing brain efficiency and fostering leadership skills, emphasizing the need for resources and routine in the process. The report highlights the significance of these habits in daily activities, enabling individuals to identify their full potential and grow in a dynamic environment, with references to various studies and academic sources.

MAIN BODY
TASK 1
How the brain operates efficiently by developing habitual behaviour patterns and the impact this has
on behaviour.
The daily activities which we do in our lifestyle is recorded by our brains which becomes kind of
habitual to us, this helps our brain in operating more effectively and efficiently as the brain already
knows what to do. Some studies have shown that around 40% of the people perform the same
activities all over the days for long period. The report shows some habits for reviewing our habits
which are given below these habits include seeking to understand, thinking of win and win
situations, synergies and I have used Rolfe's reflective model to explain these.(Duron, Limbach and
Waugh, 2006)
WHAT?
According to Stephen Covey the habits of understanding, thinking a situation where all the party
wins and synergy help an individual to develop leadership skills and help an individual to grow. The
individual need to listen to every individual so that he can come to a final decision after all the
person have put their views, the person should have the habit of coming up to the decision in which
all the parties involved are happy and by doing this the individual will have synergies as all the
people are working according to what he or she said(Webster, 1990)
SO WHAT?
If the individual has developed such skills then he or she will be able to develop leadership skills
which will help him to work more effectively and efficiently. The individual initially needs to
understand what they want to do, once they have this idea they can easily make other understand the
benefit of doing the task. The individual decision must always be favouring a decision in which no
one looses as this will demotivate the surrounding people. The individual will also gain synergies as
the people will know that the possibility of such mind-expanding adventures always exists. The
leadership skills will keep growing as the mind adapts the habits in the daily routine and thus it will
help the individual to know their potential. Study shows that the regular habits accounts for about
half of our activities. So a person should develop as many good habits as they can so that the brain
can work efficiently. Developing these habits take long time and cannot be developed frequently, it
starts with small changes and then only a person can develop a good and healthy habit.(Lee, 2017)
WHAT NEXT?
For developing these habits initially the individual needs to make sure that they have all the

performed by out brain we become more and more efficient daily. So these habits should be there in
an individual to be effective and identify their full potential. These habits should be so deeply wired
into the brain that we have a routine to perform the activities. This allows you to follow the same
route to work every day without thinking about it, liberating your brain to ponder other things. All
these habits will make our brain work so effectively and efficiently that the individual will be able
to grow at a fast pace in this environment.(Dopico, 2017)
