entity can helps to society. It assists to business firm for developing relationship in between
employees and customers. With the help of CSR company can survive in market for the long
term and take advantage of competitive environment. It is important for the entity to understand
importance of the CSR. It also makes able to firm to work in partnership with local communities

this research can develop new theories along with different types of framework. Use of research
approach is based on nature of investigation. In this report research used inductive research for
gathering in depth knowledge (Meskendahl, 2010). This method assist to research for identifying
relationship in between CSR and competitive advantage. This research demands for the
collecting data in depth so entity can receive the all useful information. It also gives better results
when researcher use quantitative and qualitative technique for conducting research. However,
the deductive research is focuses on overall information and it helps to researcher to construct
new theory and develop frameworks (Mir and Pinnington, 2014). For implementing CSR polices
at Charlotte street hotel they need to get deep knowledge about this technique.
Data collection
It is process of gathering and measuring information on targeted variables in systematic
manner. This assist to researcher in achieving aims and objectives of research project. Primarily
there are two methods for collection of data i.e. primary and secondary. Primary data is that data
which is collected through fresh sources of information and not yet published in any journals and
Books (Papke-Shields, Beise, and Quan, 2010). It can be collected through quantitative and
qualitative methods. For collecting data through primary source of information researcher can
use questionnaire or conduct interviews. On the other hand secondary data is that data which are
already collected by someone and published in any books, journals and internet. Through the
collection of data researcher can increases level of validity and reliability of data. In this present
report researcher use both data primary and secondary data. For conducting primary data
researcher use questionnaire and collect data for determining the CSR polices in Charlotte street
hotel. On the other hand for collecting secondary data researcher use internet, published journal

and books (Savolainen, Ahonen and Richardson, 2012). Information which is collected through
secondary data helps to researcher to develop different view of conducting research. In order
carrying out research for the Charlotte street hotel and identifying valid outcomes. In primary
research all the information is based on aim and objectives (Yeoh and Koronios, 2010).
Mangers of the hotel is considering all information for they can develop reliable and validity
data for implementing CSR polices at organization level.
Data analysis
It is considered as important part for conducting whole research and helps to researcher for
fulfilling aims and objectives of project (Schwalbe, 2015). Through this data analysis they can
find valid conclusion. There are different types of tools and techniques used by researcher for
evaluating and collecting data. These tools and techniques assist to data analysis to converted the
basic data into valid conclusion (Seddon, Calvert and Yang, 2010). By converting data entity can
gather important information which was collected form primary and secondary sources. For
collecting data there are tow methods i.e. quantitative and qualitative methods. For collecting
data through qualitative method researcher use chart and graphs. On the other hand for collecting
data through quantitative method researcher use mathematics tool, statistical tool such as Ztest,
descriptive test, all these techniques and tools help to company for analysis of data. By analysis
of data they can gather useful information and use as per their need. For implementing CSR
polices the Charlotte street hotel can use this technique.
Research limitation
For conducting the above research researcher give its best efforts but there are some
limitation as well (Simonsohn, Nelson and Simmons, 2017). Researcher does not have enough
time for conducting research and there is also lack of appropriate sources of information. For
conducting the whole researchers there are only 7 managers were selected because this sample is
not vert high or low. Apart, form all this information there is also lack of resources so the
researches can no use advance tools and techniques. Therefore, the researcher use only basic
techniques for conducting research (Trkman, 2010). The researcher also use themes for
measuring and preparing the CSR polices which assist to organization for gaining competitive
advantages.

P6 Recommendation
 From the above data analysis it is concluded that CSR is very important activities
for every organizations. There is direct link in between CSR polices and its competitive
advantages. Charlotte street hotel need to focus on implementing CSR polices by
making proper allocation of resources and budget. In addition, the entity is facing
problems with regard to employees safety and health at workplace.
 At fist the entity need to identity the reasons for implanting CSR polices and develop
effective programs for solving different types of problems which is facing by business
firm. For implementing polices the hotel can organize charity event and create extra
fund investments and take extra initiatives by making voluntary organizations.
 If, entity want to make successful its CSR polices then it also involved its employees in
polices making programs and also at the time of implementing strategy. Charlotte street
hotel should also encourage its employees and use their skills and knowledge for
making CSR polices. The organization also make aware to its workforce to taking active
participant in it programs.
 The Hotel also take feedback from its customers, workers and managers and make
modification as per their requirements so they can develop better and effective CSR
polices. Entity can also use make voluntary efforts at working hours and donate some
money. They should also hire workers who belongs to overseeing and executive polices
at each and every level.
 For developing CSR polices more effectively the firm can use its shareholders so they
can easily Implementation of its polices and also share its information with different
types of stakeholders such as customers, staff, community and business partners.
 Charlotte street hotel also use such practices which assist to environment for keeping
pollution free and also use those products which are considered Eco friendly. The entity
also use different types of practices which keep their water and air from pollution free
and they can easily recycle waste products. Along with these all practices Hotel should
use environmental friendly products or services.

saving its energy, water and other natural resources so they can also recycle its products

and society which directly improve its brand image they can maintain long term growth.
 The entity cam also need to us the free trade products and support to workers and also
promotes their products and services in society so workers receive maximum benefits
from its products. The hotel should also give provides training and developments
programs to its workers so their career is also grown with entity's growth.
 In additional, Charlotte street hotel can also use different ways such as promotes green
projects or using renewable energy so they can set an example to use of CSR polices
effectively and encourages to other business firm to making and developing effective
polices so they develop a healthy business practices and improves their brand image as
well.
P7 Reflection gain from conducting the project
It is considered that for conducting above research there are various types of techniques
and tools are used. I found out that for conducting the above research it is important to
understand aims and objectives of project and ten need to develop a plan and also schedule
monitoring in order to achieve its aims and objectives. In this report I also produce a Gantt chart
which gives timelines and different stages for complementing project. I analyze there are two
methods for collecting data which are primary and secondary. Both techniques are useful for mes
in orders to gathering and collecting data from various sources of information. Primary data are
collected through fresh sources and secondary data are collected via published books, journals
and internet. After, collection information it is important to make analyses of themes and charts
and from my own learning in understood in depth every techniques and learn to implementation
of each techniques. All applying all these methods I am able to understand findings. For
conducting this research I used different types of methods such as qualitative and quantitative
methods. Both the methods are useful for understand themes and charts. Apart from all these
tools and techniques I used different types statistical tools such as Z test which assist to me for
making my research more valid and effective. In additions also in learned to use of different
types approaches such as inductive and deductive. From these two approaches I learned to
develop different types of new theories and framework which helps to conduct findings. Apart,
from all these in also learned to way to preparing Gantt chart and questionnaire for conducting

useful information from my research. This research also make me able to prepare different types
of questions such as open ended or closed ended etc. with the help of primary and secondary
research I made interpretation of questions and use various types of charts to explain my
research. At last I understood the importance of corporate social responsibility within entity and
the ways its effects entity and its activities. I also learned to different types of CSR practices
which can be used by the hotel for making effective of its polices and also making aware to its
society in which it is conducting its business operations. Through this research I also understand
that CSR polices are important for every business firm and by implementation of such practices
entity can also save its money on energy and improve its brand image in front of society. With
the help of this research I also learned how business firm can use corporate social responsibility
gaining competitive advantages.
