INTRODUCTION
Background of the Study
Corporate strategy and corporate action used to play the crucial role in the performance
improvement of the organization as they used to define all the corporate action which are taken
by the company and also binds the company to follow the set of the rules in operation of the
business. Asda, is a British supermarket retailer, headquartered in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The
company was founded in the year 1949. Asda has secured the second place in the UK market on
the basis of the market area covered by the organization . Asda in total has 140,000 dedicated
employee serving for them all over the world.

relation to performance improvement
 To evaluate the impact of corporate Governance on the performance of Asda.
 To recommend some ways through which the negative impact of corporate strategy and
corporate Governance can be defended by Asda
Rationale
The reason behind choosing this topic was that there is a still confusion among the Asda that
corporate strategy and corporate Governance used to play the crucial role in improving the
performance of the organization. This proposal will help the company in understanding the role
which is played by the corporate strategy and corporate Governance in respect to performance
improvement in the Asda.
