Executive Summary
The main scope of this assignment is to deal with the change management techniques at
Corwin Corporation. This company has failed to meet up with the expectations by another
company that is Peters Company in accordance of which a change in the management
structure, communication as well as the mistakes done at the acceptance of the project is
provided below. The assignment also deals with the risk mitigation techniques of the change
in management. In the final part of the assignment, there are Completed Change Request
Form and the Change Log examples are provided in the appendices, which will help with the
proper documentation of the change management in the business.

1. Introduction
The Corwin Corporation Case Study deals with the assessment of the factors that led
the failure of the Corwin’s project. The relationship of Corwin Corporation with Peters
Company has been compromised due to the failure of the management policies of Corwin
Corporation (Hayes, 2018). A proper risk analysis was not carried out before the signing of
the contract. Moreover, the contact was a fixed-priced contract. The situation became worse
due to the lack of support from the Company’s management. This report discusses about the
reason for the failure of the project as well deals with the relevant changes that are needed in
the organizational policies as well as in the structure of the management to enhance the
successfulness of the project.
2. Change control
Change Management is said to be an organized and systematic application of tools,
knowledge as well as resources that provides key processes to the achievement of the
effective business strategy for the organizations (Doppelt, 2017). The change management is
said to be a systematic approach for the organizations that deals with the change from the
perspective of the individual level as well as of the organizational level. The control change
management has three different aspects such as adapting to change with the other
organizational factors, including the changes as well as effecting the changes.
The change control is explained as a systematic approach, which is implemented to
manage all the necessary changes that are required to a product or a system. The purpose of
this type of management is to document all the necessary changes, the services of the
products are not disrupted and the resources that are available should be efficiently used.
