INTRODUCTION
Reflective writing is acknowledged as the effective part of learning according to which
individuals can easily develop their learning by analysing their own experiences related to
particular event. Each and every experience of the individual provides the opportunity to develop
them and attain success effectively (Afanasyev and et. al., 2019). The present report is the part of
reflective writing in which own experience of the individual related to the particular group
presentation has been expressed in detailed. In this, learning of the individual along with the
issues has been discussed. At next, detailed description has been provided on the areas of
development identified from the reflection. In the last section of project, an appropriate action
plan has been developed in order to provide them opportunity to develop themselves by taking
rightful measure.
Reflect on your performance in the group presentation
As the part of coursework I got opportunity to develop group presentation with the
members in which my tutor has finalised team of few members who will be giving presentation
together on the common topic. Here, I got opportunity to show presentation skills to others as
each and every member will get opportunity to express themselves as the student and express
their best work in front of the tutor who will be getting marks for the same. With reference to my
personal experience related to the same, it has been analysed by me that I got opportunity to
develop myself as the presenter and enhance my public speaking skills. Here, my tutor has
assigned us the topic on which we all have worked together and developed an effective
presentation for which we got marks in the after completion of the coursework. Here, it has been
analysed by me that my communication skill are stronger as I am able to communicate with my
team members and share my level of knowledge with them in the clearer manner. In order to
express my information I personally prefer to make use of clear and simple language so that I
can easily makes my things as well as information clear to others so that they can understand my
actual intention. In addition to this usage of clear and understandable language reduces the
chances of miscommunication in the team. Apart from this, from my own experience I got know
that my strong communication skill has supported my team in expressing our presentation in
front of the tutor as well as team members in clear manner. While emphasizing on the other
strong skill of mine is related to time management skill, it can be said that I personally, my team

members as well as tutor believes that I am good at managing all my work along with the
availability of time. Here, it can be said that, I am in the time management skills with the initial
time of mine learning that is from school onwards. This is so because; my parents have always
provided me guidance to value to the time. Also, from the school time only my parents have
always developed particular time table according to the activities or the availability of the time
so that I can easily manage all the work as per the priority within the provided time frame. This
habit of mine has supported me a lot in managing all activities related to the group presentation
in the timely manner. In addition to this, while emphasising on the weak skills of mine, it has
been analysed by me that from my own experience related to the group presentation I got to
know that I am not at good at managing conflicts within the team. This is so because, am quite
soft hearted and it was difficult for me to handle issues at workplace which takes place among
the team members while working together on the same project. Here, I have realised that when I
observe any kind of conflict at workplace it makes me very much uncomfortable as I was not at
all able to handle the situation and pass my judgement over the single person. This has made my
negative relations with the team members while working within the team. Apart from this,
another weak skill of mine related to the same experience is team working skill. From myself
analysis it can be said that I was weak highly weak in working in the group activity as I believe
that I am not able to collaboratively work with others. This is so because; I am not at all adjustive
and cannot compromise to spoil the work due to the mistake done by the team member. I was
already having deep knowledge about my weak area but still at the time of my teachers’ and
other group members I got to know that this weak skill of mine is not only affecting my
performance since the young age but it would also be affecting my professional life too.
Areas to develop further
On the basis of my own experience related to the project of developing group presentation
as the part of my coursework it can be said that I got know that I already having great command
in some skills which supports me in executive my personal life as well as academic life activities
in rightful manner. At the same time I realised that there are some weak skills of mine too which
are affecting my current performance as the student and also affects my future goals too. From
my personal experience related to the group presentation, I personally got to know that I have to
work on my team working skills as well as conflict management skill as I am not able to manage
both of these skills while working for the group presentation with the team members. Here, I also

got to know that team working skills are considered as the most important skill in the academic
as well as professional life this is so because with having effective command over this skill it
won’t be possible for me to handle work. This is so because; every person is not having expertise
in every type of work. Thus, if the same person with the limited number of skills works in the
group then they are easily able to lead the project or assigned work with the help of the team
members who are having good command over other skill. This simply depicts that with the
support of team members having expertise in the different zones it becomes easier for the
individuals to succeed in the life. Thus, it is highly important for me to grow my team working
skills so that I can easily accomplish the assigned work within the provided limit and succeed in
the personal as well as professional life. In addition to this, by developing team working skills I
can easily enhance number of the opportunity available for me in the group as I can easily take
part in any work and can accomplish it within the time period. Along with this, the another skill
which is required to be developed by me is conflict management skill as according to my
personal experience related to the same it can be said that I got to know that conflict
management skill of mine is highly weak. On the basis of my own experience I have realised that
the conflicts are the part of every field thus it is important for me as the person to develop my
self in order to grow my own skill through which i can tackle any kind of conflict at workplace
and handle workplace issue. This would definitely help me out in accomplishing project outcome
in the quicker manner as with the strong conflict management skill i would be easily able to
handle conflicts at workplace and show up my fair decision towards the work in rightful manner.
This will directly contribute in developing my relationship with the team members as i am able
to manage the organisational work and team issues at my own level without interrupting others
and showing bias decision to others.
Develop an action plan
It is crucial for a person to gain knowledge of the skills, knowledge and competences that
are present within them along with those absent. For this purpose, they carry out a self analysis
which equips them with knowledge of their strengths and weaknesses in terms of skills of their
personal and professional personality. When an individual gets to know about their skill or
knowledge gap, their prime motive should be to take measures through which they can ensure
that the gap is timely addressed. This is aimed at making sure that the person does not have to
face failure while executing any task or activity in academic or professional setting because of

skill deficit. In relation to this, it is determined that developing an action plan allows an
individual to fill the gaps that are present in their skill set as well as knowledge base. With
respect to this, an action plan is acknowledged to be a chain of measures, activities or action that
are implemented by a person to enhance or develop some skills within their academic as well as
professional personality. The analysis which has been carried out by me in this respect tends to
reveal that my personality two important skills named conflict resolution and team working.
Below mentioned is an action plan that has been developed in order to deal with the skill gap
identified by me and address it in the shortest time span possible by taking some effective
development activities.
