instead of chemical based. It also runs the initiative for empowering women’s that is why it
can easily get the attention of buyers. It is a great product which also serves as a medical

Is P&G Adopts Positive Innovative Thinking Leadership Style:
Current Leader uses decentralized decision-making process in which power is not given to a
single person but it is divided among several individuals. Here, decision making is
participative, which gives authority to also middle level for the decision purpose without
going to top-management as problems can be answered at that level also.
It makes consumer-oriented goods and does changes in the organization according to the
environment. Management is good but, it does not give motivation to workers thus, in this
way, it is not able to develop a habit of innovative thinking in the staff working in the
company.
In general, the Leader is the one who is the top managerial person and which directs and
guides the personnel in the organization.4
Style of Leadership to be accepted:
Present leadership style is not appropriate so, a new style is framed in such a way so to
remove the drawbacks of the previous one. Therefore, Democratic style is adopted in which
participation of all members in the decision making procedure.
Here, the leader should be such, which gives rewards to those employees who give good
suggestions for the achievement of the resulted outcome desired by the concern. Motivation

also gives return to the company, in the way of building the trust of employees and helps in
reducing the labour turnover ratio as workers are satisfied with their career regarding the
choice of company chosen.
Promote Sustainable Innovative Activity:
It is a framework which needs to be followed to live in the hearts of the public by assuming
that ethical practices are essential in the organization. Ethics guide the business towards the
adoption of right behaviour and due to this; the boundary is created in between right or wrong
behaviour.
In a common way, it is safeguarding of the environment from the business practices. When
sustainable energies are combined with the idea thereafter, innovative activity is generated
efficiently.5 Ideas must get support from top management in order to apply it before the
condition lapse.
Diana is a natural shampoo which not uses harsh chemicals so, in this way it saves the
environment from these substances. It provides support to educational activities for girls so it
is also considered as an ethical business.
Implementing Knowledge Transfer:
Knowledge transfer is a process of sharing knowledge for solving the problems. In the case of
a company, the software is used for gathering information from qualified persons and from
the people who are working in a company. Information collected is transferred, so to increase
the reusability of data.
Thus it can be said that it has great knowledge sharing system for the purpose of gaining
competitive advantage in the market6.

It has to bear the risk of innovation as it is the company which drives changes firstly, before
any company so; it opens a door for other companies as they don’t have to spend any money
for it as P&G already gives answer to their queries, so that they can easily innovate its
product but it increases the cost of the organization.
There are many companies which provide similar types of products so it is considered a
threat to it. It does not do the marketing of its products online. Its product mainly targeted the
middle and urban class segment.
For the new product, dynamic conditions exist as it is not always constant but actually
fluctuating one. Comparison of products is done on the basis of quality; price, features, and
goodwill are considered by buyers before purchasing any product.
Task-3:
Part-A:
Reformatting Team:
It is done for developing a relationship between team members effectively by focussing on
the mission and culture of the organization. Creative people are selected in the team so to get
attractive thoughts in the team7. Ideas of employees should be according to environmental
situations.
Presenting Innovative Product:
Goods and services should be able to satisfy the needs and wants of the customers. If the
product is not adequate to the buyers then it will not survive in the market for the longer term.

Technological: Technology changes very frequently in this country so it might face difficulty
for the organization, so P&G has to continuously look at its surroundings regularly to adopt
any change.
Environmental: Various factors affect it adversely such as water, food and land shortage
and climate change may impact on its operations.
Legal: It has to follow the laws of the country otherwise it may create a problem.
In Magazines, various trends are shown of innovation particularly that P&G has to see the
research of other firms instead of doing its own research as it can impact on its cost majorly10.
It has to add more line of products in the company by buying the smaller firms which are
effective. It has to take steps on reducing the cost of products to make the product reasonable
to customers. Now, in recent, it invites start-ups for doing innovation in the company’s
products11.
Sources of Information on innovative ideas for new hair care product range in
Australia:
It is gathered through P&G’s original site in which news of upcoming strategies which
company wants to adopt in the future is shown. Researching the market trends of Australia
and New Zealand for the hair and care product12.

Plan
Dynamic Market Yes 1 Making changes continuously in
order to survive.

Yes 2 Making product unique and

firms for its adoption.
Allergic Effect May 5 It is possible because some have
sensitive skin which is not

Not useful after
some time period
Yes 4 Launching it in small pouches so
that it can be useful while using.
Not compatible Yes 3 Improving it for removing the dirt

Cost-benefit analysis:
It has to bear the heavy cost in procuring raw materials as resources are scare which is not
always available on the earth so, by this, prices are high. It maintains good quality in its
products so that consumer gets the value of the worth which is spent by him.
If prices are low, the company earns only short-term profit with a huge loss. So, prices to be
set up in such a way that it is neither becomes too high or low so to cover the cost of the
company and as well as providing value to the buyers of goods.
P&G assumes that the buyer only buys quality goods but the normally rational consumer does
its decision by the price factor. In order to conduct this, direct and real cost of the product is
estimated.
