Creating of the Dashboard

Dashboard plays an important role for the communication between the users and the organization. In this case, the designing of the dashboard is an important part as it helps to guide the user to use the dashboard for the communication. The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the interactive dashboard designs along with the principal of the single screen dashboard.

Introduction
Dashboard plays an important role for the communication between the users and the
organization. In this case, the designing of the dashboard is an important part as it helps to guide
the user to use the dashboard for the communication (Raef 2017). In the era of visualization it is
important to create a flexible dash where the functionality can be easily understood by the users.
The main objective of this paper is to evaluate the interactive dashboard designs along with the
principal of the single screen dashboard.
Discussion
Designing of the single screen dashboard:
There are some fundamental principals in the designing of the dashboard. These
principals include the strategic, analytical and operational examples(Boscardin et al.2018). The
success of the dashboard lies on the right approach towards the visualization.
Visualization can be created through presentation of the graphics and the pictures. It is
the responsibility of the dashboard implementer to identify and understand the different concepts
of the representation of data (Boscardin et al.2018). Apart from that the expression of the
thoughts, ideas and helping to understand the functionalities of the dashboard is depended on the
type of the project or service the dashboard is representing.
Characteristics of creating an interactive dashboard:
A dashboard can be said to be effective if it helps the users to show the useful
information and data regarding the service of or the company at a glance (Boscardin et al.2018).
A successful implementation of the dashboard helps to create the successful visual

implementation of the complex data and information. The main characteristics of an interactive
dashboard is that it is intuitive and clear along with the flexible enough to customize. The
customization does not means the customization of the data (Boscardin et al. 2018). However,
the users in this type of dashboard can change the user view according to their choice. Most
importantly, in a suitable dashboard, the data and the important information are specifically
presented in a limited space.
A proper dashboard can provide information in one click. This mean all the important
and the essential information can be easily accessed (Hayit et al. 2016). In this case, the
prioritization of the information is done and is presented in a visual hierarchy. In some of the
dashboard, the filters are used for the optimization for the search of the users. Apart from that a
good single screened dashboard will able to provide the specific information to the users based
on the search keywords or the selection of the filters.
One of the main objective of the single screened dashboard is to reduce the complexity of
the system or services and provides clarity in the data. In order to do this the presentation of the
most relevant information is done (Sedrakyan et al.2018). The selection of the relevant
information is done when there are many search results to display. In this case, the selection of
the most relevant set of data is chosen. The choosing of the relevant information is guided by the
goals of the project along with the nature of the data and the need of the users.
Objective of making the dashboard:
The main objective of making the dashboard is to make the users understand the
complex information(Boscardin et al.2018). Apart from that many of the organizations are
taking their services online (RAHMAN 2017). In that cases, the services are provided online

and the dashboard is used as the interface for communication between the users and the
organization.
While the development of the dashboard some of the concerns are needed to be
identified. The first concern regarding this is the number of steps needed to be done by the users
in order to achieve the goals and the information to achieve the specific goal (Moufad and
Jawab 2017). The goal can be identified by the evaluating the objective of the project and the
purpose of making the dashboard. This will provide the insights and the metrics on which the
data can be processed through the dashboard along with the implementation.
Conclusion
It has been seen that the goal centric dash board has certain purpose to achieve . Along
with that the design of the dash board presents the simplified version of the data along with the
proper graphical presentation. It can be said from the discussion that making the proper single
screen dashboard is needed to be goal oriented so that the specific information regarding
reaching to the goal can be successfully represented through the single screen dashboard.
