The U.S law enforcement agency was established after encountering several attacks
amounting to 9/11. The attacks were devastating to the nation and thus the security was created
to coordinate and unite the country’s security efforts. The country has more often encountered
horrible terrorism attacks which cause a great challenge that confront to the citizens and the
nation as a whole. To identify, prevent and protect from and contain terror attacks and threats,
the U.S security enforcement has made progress in their manner of operations (Funk & Trauner,
2016).
The Primary Policy of U.S Law Enforcement
With the emerging issues in the security system today, the key priority of the U.S law
enforcement should be to counter terrorism using its tools and expertise to fight terrorism and
curb changes relating to terrorism.
Research that Justifies My Policy
The primary transnational terrorist threat to the U. S is the Radical Islamist terrorist.
Them exists prominent organizations known as the ISIS and al-Qaida that have often managed to
attack or have intension stop attack the U.S with continuous plots to new attacks (Cynthia Lum,
2018). As they exploit the U.S government, they destabilize the country and its interests through
conflicts and political grievances with the objective of eliminating western influence in Muslim
nations. These terrorists have adapted tactics and technologic advances in their operations and
us, the law enforce body has to acritical counterterrorism these organizations by adopting agile
measures. Even though the groups underscore their potential threats to the U.S, they bomb,
murder several people, imprison, kidnap and torture the citizens. Moreover, domestic terrorists

are on the rise in the U.S with more fatalities reported and violent acts that cause more harm than
good to the people and the economy.
The U.S law enforcement has made progress traced from its establishment and thus
adopting several approaches relating to security. For instance, the country has heightened its
border security and it is able to detect suspected participants of terrorism before they arrive at the
boarders (Al-Kassimi & Simons, 2019). The U.S has made its national boarders to be their
important among other many measures. The country has applied several ways to spread
information related to terrorists between the states, federal government and territorial entities
among others. The country also involves private actors in these measures to share information
across its federal and state governments (Farrell, 2019). Through improved infrastructure, the
law enforcement has managed to empower American communities with the tiresome work of the
operators dedicated to perform their duties, they uphold integrity and vigilance to serve their
nation.
Why the U.S Government Should Adopt My Policy
With the increasing cases of terrorism being experienced in the country, the law
enforcement department is yet to acknowledge and formulate ways through proper inception of
tools and expertise to curb the threats that occur frequently. Since the threats witnessed are
complex, more organized and technological advanced, the department has a lot to do. For
instance, it has to formulate a working strategic framework that will be essential in many ways.
The strategic framework will be used to address targeted violence and terrorism threats and cases
that occurs in the country (Bjelopera, 2016). The federal government has to recognize targeted
violence cases and terrorism at the national eve and come up with a clear set of solutions towards
solving and ending them.

Second, the law enforcement body should introduce new techniques or come up with
more comprehensive ways that it understands the challenges that terrorism affect the government
and its citizens. The team should then come up with continuous assessment done annually to
explicate the level at which the federal government, the states and the entire nation is subjected
to (Miller, 2019). Through this, the public and the government will have knowledge and
understand the threat that awaits them. If people understand the threat that might be subjected to
them, they will have a common knowledge that will then call for policy making, allocation of
resources, periodization’s based on agency and partnerships between intergovernmental
parastatals. There will be room for better discussions on the approaches that will be adopted to
mitigate terrorism and also allocate enough resources towards the same.
Additionally, the U.S should adopt the steps to counter terrorism because of the nature of
challenges that the government is faced domestically. Domestic terrorism poses dangers such as
violent extremists, ethical and racial motivated violence (KKIENERM). This challenges can be
addressed by the law enforcement body and design a guidepost to end such threats in the future.
The body will offer comprehensive methods to prevent ethnical and racial threats that affects
domestic governments and protect the vulnerable communities present in the U.S. the law
enforcement body will also offer support without majoring on the ideological drivers of such
communities. This will emphasize on transparency and protect civil rights as well as civil
liberties of the people.
As an organized crime, terrorism is distinct in the manner in which it is conducted.
Terrorism usually involves a crime done to compel government and international organizations
as well as to intimidate a community to attain civil and political aims. However, an organized
crime is done with aim of gaining a financial and material benefits and not necessarily own and

control. Therefore, the law enforcement office has partnered with other law enforcement
engagements to maintain the Northern Border, school safety and immigration enforcement. The
office is in charge of combating terrorism by developing new approaches that harness its unique
and diverse architecture. The office has been successful in its aim of threating foreign terrorism
cases through stopping the terrorists at the borders before they could arrive at the country and
some have been denied entry into the country (Homeland Security, 2017). The law enforcement
body has also offered support to international partners, federal state, private sector by shared
essential information to counter cases of terrorism.
Conclusion
The U.S law enforcement should emphasize on encountering terrorists within and beyond
their borders using an elements of power to curb such acts and terrorism ideologies. Through
this, the office will disrupt and deny terrorist their ability to threaten the country and its allies,
deny terrorism financial capabilities, trade and communication strength. The body will ensure
America is protected from possible attacks and citizens are safe.
