INTRODUCTIONThe leadership is the process which is helpful to lead organisational activities in effectivemanner so that firm can produce large amount of profitability. . This term derived as action ofleading a group of people or an organisation. The leaders of firm need to have proper vision andmission so that activities can be taken in the expertise manner. The management is a term whichis derived as an art of getting things done through others. This activity is need to be done in theexpertise mode so that firm is able to achieve the desire success. The present assignment is coverthe following activities like role and function of leader and manager, approaches with range ofemployment situations, identification of organisation problems etc. this all are helpful in relationto sustain the brand image of the firm in the market (Bolman and Deal, 2017)). This assignmentis covering the activities of General Electric. It is playing its role as power leader, it works as toprovide help to customer in relation to delivering of electricity with wide spectrum of fuelsources. Moreover, the firm is taking various effective steps as to have proper use of technologyso it will assist power more affordable, sustainable, reliable and accessible etc. 1. Difference between the concepts of leadership and managementLeadership and management- The leader is person who is responsible to manageoverall working in the organization. The leadership and manager this are both differed concepts,in relation to undertake the activities of the business expertly it is important to understand themeaning of both term (Kok and McDonald, 2017). The 'Leadership' derived as setting up ofdirection or vision for the specific group and he works as to provide the direction to his groupmember to achieve so desire task. The term 'management' referred as control or directs theindividual in the organization in corrective manner. The basic skill in relation to manager as areplanning, making, delegation, communications and managing the things in the effective manner. Difference between leadership and management process Leader creates the vision, manager creates goals-Leader plays his role to inspire andengage individuals of firm to turn the vision into reality. By thinking on beyond level, they workto accomplish goals of organisation so that desired profitability can be achieved (Nguyen andet.al., 2017). The manager works to create manageoverall activities of firm. The manager is person without whom, firm cannot operate its functionsin an expertise mode (Cvetanovic and et.al., 2018). Managers stick with refining systems,structures and processes of business in effective manner. These kinds of activities are helpful toenhance the growth of enterprise. Leaders are unique, manager’s copyIn order to enhance the power system the leader are need to actively perform theactivities to build the unique brand image in the market. They need to perform their activities inan authentic and transparent manner (Repenning, Kieffer and Repenning, 2018). The managerneeds to perform their activities effectively. They work to adopt the leadership styles rather thandefining it in corrective manner.
