Introduction
In the present era, Mass media is the important medium through
which information is passed on to different personnel with the
help various channels.
There are various technologies which are used to create awareness
among the individual about the respective issues.
All these aspects are considered while making communication with
the help of the media sources to quantify the information and pass
on to different individual who is part of the society.
The individual within the society need to have the proper awareness
about the various aspects which will help to them to deal with the
similar issues.

Media as a social institution
 Media institutions are those organizations which are responsible
for production, marketing, distribution and regulation of the
media information to the entire society to create awareness
among them.
 Recently, the media is the best source through which the
information is passed on to the cast audiences.
 The mass media serve as the social interface to maintain balance
between the society and other agents of socialization to create
awareness.
 The operational objective of the media is to dictates the attitudes,
values and the beliefs of a dominate society to manage the entire
functioning in the standardized manner.

The information can be passed with the help of the different sources
that are present within the society as media sources are discussed
below:
Newspapers: This is the most preferred medium through which the
people of the society are made aware about the variety of the
topics like politics, entertainment, finance and many others.
 It plays a pivotal role to pass on the authenticated information to
their respective readers. For instance: there are various issues
such as racial discrimination, reservation criteria, mental
harassment and many others which are encountered by the
youngsters.

represent their viewpoint to the entire society and make them
aware about the various problems which are faced by them.
Magazines: They are printed source of media which assist in
passing the information to the respective readers in context to
various things. The audience that are catered through this media
source are subjected to the specific information that is related to
the various issues.
Television: It is the best media source through that the appeal of the
individual can be made who is suffering thtough audio and
visual means.

related to the racial discrimination of the individual present
within the society and are faced from generation. Thus,
television is the best source of media to communicate about
these issues so that necessary norms and measures can be
framed to deal out with them.

Theory- Stanley Cohen Moral panic
 The theory related to moral panic which is the
sociological concept related to the particular type of the
reaction to detected social issues.
 This theory states the fear that is spread among the large
number of the people which are threaten by the evil
functioning which is practised by the society itself
regardint the values and other attributes.
 These evil functioning raises various issues and affects
the living standard of the societies. Thus, media act as
the player to deal with the issues that are encountered by
the entire society.

people are threaten by the aspect of poor representation
within the society. Thus, they avoid the aspect to raise
their voice against it and result in moral panic of the
individual who have suffered from that.
Other social theories suggested in the media
 The multi-dimensional conceptualization related to the
inequality of the individual within the society need to be
analyzed to deal with various issues in an effective
manner.

communicate with different personnel as they are misusing the
sources and passing wrong information which is creating ill-
impact on the functional aspect of the society.

get aware about the harassment that is faced by the individual in
mental or the physical form.

young people
 The reason behind such portrayals of the young people is that
they are reasoned as that voice that is raised against the unfair
practices which are performed within the society related to the
issues.
 The young people are representative of entire society as a
group and need that the living should be standardized so that
the people of the society do not face any sort of harassment.

Conclusion
 Media is the best source to communicate with ample
amount of people that are present within the society.
 All the issues are effectively deal out and result in
creating consciousness among the individual.
 The concepts are presented in a systematic manner with
the help of various representatives.
