INTRODUCTION
The business environment is dynamic and the business organisation that are operating at
global level have to face certain challenges (Ferrell and et.al., 2019). This report is based on
“Corporate Social Responsibility” that is an ethical issue. In the starting of the report the
challenge is being discussed. Afterwards the conduct of conduct that is being undertaken by the
company to resolve the issue is mentioned. There are some professional bodies that assist in
dealing with the issue are also evaluated in this report. Continuous professional development
plan is formulated in the end of this report as it helps to know about the details learned in
module.

PART A
Corporate Social Responsibility
It can be defined as a management concept where the business organisations integrate
social and environmental concerns. They assure that they fulfil the requirements of all the
stakeholders. CSR refers to policies and practices that are undertaken by a company to have a
positive influence on the world. It helps them to create good image and that helps them to
achieve the objectives of the company (Sroka and Szántó, 2018). The company must work to
take proper care of environment as they get all the resources from environment. It is the
responsibility of corporates to maintain balance and use the resources in optimum manner.
It is seen that there is direct impact of CSR of the business organisation. Unilever is a
British Multinational organisation that believes that success requires the highest standards of
corporate behaviour towards the societies, employees, and the consumers. They aim to provide
quality goods and services to the customers and to reduce carbon footprints on the environment.
It helps the company to get more loyal customers with positive image in market.
If they will not follow the same the company will not be able to maintain their position in
the market. Taking care of environment is must at the present time because customers are aware
about safety and hygiene. The expenditure of company enhances when they are indulged in CSR.
But CSR helps them to enhance profitability position of the company in long run.

Code of conduct
Code of conduct helps the business organisation to achieve goals and objectives
successfully. They follow the principles of business integrity (Alwagfi, Aljawarneh and Alomari,
2020). They take proper care of their employees and show respect towards them. The values of
Unilever are as follows:
 Integrity
 Respect
 Responsibility
 Pioneering
This makes Unilever strong. The practice engages the employees and retain them in the
organisation. They take wise decisions so that they develop relations with stakeholders. It grows
the sustainability practice of Unilever they are able to deliver the strategy in an effective manner.
There are some standards that are followed by Unilever. They are fully aligned towards values
that help them to operate effectively. The three pillars are as follows:
 Prevention: They seek to follow culture at all the levels.
 Detection: They encourage employees to speak and get involved in decision making.
 Response: They use tools that help them to investigate all the things and continuously
improve.
The code of conduct of conduct provides direction to the organisation that is being followed by
them. The company works go treat all the employees equally so that they feel valuable and
respectable (Unilever Business Integrity, 2021). Along with that, they work on anti-pollution
guidelines that support them to work towards environment and support them. It is necessary to
follow all the code of conduct and achieve success.
Discuss the support and guidance available from the relevant Professional Bodies/Organisations
Professional bodies are the professionals that establish help and guidance in order to
achieve goals and objectives. There are certain challenges that are faced by business
organisations so that they are able to achieve success (Rossi and et.al., 2021). There is need to
know about them and take their assistance so that they are able to achieve success. The
professional bodies that help to overcome the challenges are as follows:
Social Work England: It is one of the body that works to maintain health and safety of
people. There is need to work by protecting the interest of people and to promote the welfare of

people. It was designed in 2017 to establish standards for the people. There is need to follow
corporate social responsibility and protect interest of all the people. They must also assure that
there is no hard caused to the environment.
Government: The government of UK takes care that all the business organisation must
follow corporate social responsibility. It is duty of government to check that they do not harm the
employees that work in the organisation (Yuan and et.al., 2020). Along with that they maintain
quality of products that they serve to the customers. They assure that the company follow all the
standards and perform in effective manner.
Concludes with an assessment of the likely impact both the support and codes of conduct could
have on the issue
There is key role of code of conduct in success of a business organisation. The company
must follow the ethics and values so that they are able to achieve success. The code of conduct
being followed by the business organisation creates effective image of the company and attracts
more customers. These are the standards that assist the companies to deal with the challenges and
to overcome them. The professional bodies are like helping hands that support the businesses so
that they do not make any mistake. They help to provide support to the business and take suitable
actions if they are indulged in wrong activity.
If the business organisation will not follow code of conduct, they have to face challenges
The employees will not work with the company and the same time they will not be able to deal
with the customers in appropriate manner. The legal compliances will not be followed by the
company and they have to face penalty.

CONCLUSION
From the above report, it is concluded that it is important for every organisation to
understand the nature of business environment. There is certain issue that the companies face so
they must identify the problems and way of solving them. In this report there is discussion
related to CSR and the code of conduct that must be followed by company to achieve success.
The discussion related to professional bodies is also important part of this report. It is important
for business organisation to know what is right for them so that they are able to take appropriate
decisions.
