Reporting:
There are a lot of reasons that have been identified to write about the health issues those are
faced by people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island. The people of Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Island are not aware of their health issues due to lack of education and the other necessary
facilities. Before analyzing the techniques or solutions of this issue, it is required to analyze the
situation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders by using journals, news articles, and many
other peer resources. Lack of awareness of people of their health is the main reason for
increasing the diseases and death rate of people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island (National
Geographic, 2018).
Responding:
After reading the history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, I found racism and colonizing
as a challenge for the people of Island which makes me uncomfortable and forcedness me to
think about their life as they survive with the many challenges. While reading their story, I could
not believe how British people can do discriminate against them. I found that they are treated
differently as compared to normal people and due to which they did not get the proper facilities
to live their life (Business, 2018). I want to help the people of Island by aware of them towards
health issues and which is my first reaction.
Relating:
According to my practices of Nursing, I have learned that nurses have many responsibilities that
are required to be fulfilled to minimize health issues from society. In this scenario, the nurse has
the responsibility to understand the situation and seek to minimize the power imbalances. In this
