The report aims to discuss contemporary theoretical thoughts with the applied book-keeping task
application that is based on topic of earning management techniques. The paper includes the
analysis of the selected ASX Company that is Qantas. The past two years annual report of the
company is considered for identifying the ways that the corporation has used the earning
management techniques.
Overview of the company
Qantas Airways Limited is well-known flag transporter of Australia with the biggest carrier by
fleet size, worldwide flights as well as journey's end. The company is considered as 3rd oldest
airline across the world subsequently KLM and Aianca. Qantas came into existence in the year
1920, 16th November in Winton, Queensland by Hudson Fysh, Paul McGinness and Fergus
McMaster as Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited. The company has
different subsidiaries and other operations which contribute in managing the earning.
