1DATA ANALYSIS Data Analysis To evaluate and conclude the findings for this quality improvement research, the data collectedon waiting time of the patients, prior and post the implementation ofinterventions will be evaluated and analysed.Measurements of health outcomes, that is,change in patient satisfaction, post the introduction of a single advanced nurse practitioner in the health care setting will be used to indicate the efficiency of the role of ANPs in clinical settings. To determine the impact post introduction of ANP in health care systems, the current health status of the targeted population will be measured.Health status will be measured in the terms of quality of care defined by the variables patient wait time and patient satisfaction. As the doctors attend many different clinics, the issue with the quality of care delivered to the patientarises.Aspertheresearchhypotheses, thepresenceofanAdvancedNurse Practitioner in the clinic will provide greater assistance to the doctors in delivering standard care to the patient. Thus, it is important to determine the health status of the targeted population before and post the introduction of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to determine the importance of the specialized role of ANPs.The variables that need to be analysed are the progress of ANP integration in the health care sector, its coverage, and the measure of success in achieving the action plan. To collect measurable data on the chosen variable, sample healthcare facilities will be visited and data will be collected from observation, questionnaires, and screening of hospital records. Monitoring of the prescription and diagnostic rights of the newly appointed ANP will give insights on the scope of practice and highlight any legal and ethical issues. To determine the overall outcome of the quality improvement project, the two variablesof patient satisfaction and wait times will be analysed post the introduction of newly appointed ANPs. This will be done with data analysis on the reduction of unnecessary delays for the patient to receive treatment. Patient satisfaction is highly dependent on the variable of wait time and
2DATA ANALYSIS acts as a critical indicator for the successful implementation of the role of Advanced Nurse Practitioners in clinical settings (Cowley, Cooper, & Goldberg 2016). Data for the associated waiting time pre and postthe introduction of a single AdvancedNursePractitionerinhealthcaresettingswillbeanalysedtogeneratea measurement on the quality of care delivered to the people based on the patient’s satisfaction report. With the help of data analysis, any associated correlation between the intervention, that is, the introduction of ANP and the variables, which are reduction in wait-time and the increase in patient satisfaction, will be determined. To properly analyze the autonomous power of decision-making given to the ANP, the quality of health assessment, diagnosis, and interpretation of clinical results performed by the ANPs will be analyzed, in addition to which the reduction in the risk to patient safety and increase in positive health outcome will be observed.
