Running Head: ReportBackgroundSexual harassment is a very serious issue and this research proposal explains this problem in detailat Dubois Industries. A Dubois industry is established in 1936 and this company is manufacturingthe hardware products. HR director of the company contacted the young consultancy for solutionof the problems as they are facing the problem of sexual harassment of the employees at theworkplace. One of their employees was sexually harassed by the former senior worker in theorganization. Although the company compensated their employee, but still company wants toeliminate this type of problem by implementing some policies. The main problem is that employeealready put allegations of serious sexual misconduct at Dubois industries. Because of this reason,HR director of the company Anna Choi contacted the CEO of the Young consultancy Sarah Youngfor some suggestions. The company was claimed for the wrongful misconduct at workplacebecause of the negative rumors about the company. Sexual misconduct at workplace is a veryserious issue found in the Dubois Industries. Questions have been raised by the shareholders of thecompany about the safety of women at the workplace[ CITATION ASe161 \l 1033 ]. The research problem is mainly on the allegations of sexual misconduct at Dubois industries andhow it can be resolved as these allegations spoil the image of the company. Sexual harassment isthe form of discrimination related to the gender that violates the human rights to equality in theDubois Industries. However, it is very serious issue that still exists in an unrestrained manner andin this report, the main focus will be on the how and why harassment occurs and what can be thepossible solution to handle this problem.2

Running Head: ReportResearch questionSexual harassment refers to the wrongful conduct of behavior and it should not be tolerated in theharassment. The main focus of the research proposal is to understand the holistic perspective tosexual harassment. The paper seeks to address the following questions: What are the possible solutions to handle the sexual harassment problems at the workplace?Objective 1: To reduce the problem by implementing some of the strategies Objective 2: To increase the safety and security of the women at workplaceWhat is the impact and consequences of the sexual harassment at the workplace?Objectives 1: To determine the long term impact of the sexual harassment on the health ofthe people Objective 2: To understand the outcomes of these problems in order to take the correctiveactions in the future period of time. Expected outcomesThis research will address the problem by focusing on the various research tools and techniques aswell as by analyzing the previous studies. The main focus of this research is on the critical reviewof the literature, analysis of the data collected through the research methods in order to providesome of the of the possible solutions. The objective of this research is to determine the bestpossible solution to handle the problem of sexual misconduct at the workplace[ CITATION SIn13 \l1033 ]. 3

Running Head: ReportReview of literatureThere is a large volume of the previous studies exists that describing the issue of sexual harassmentat the workplace. Despite of the legal jurisdictions all over the world, workplace sexual harassmentcontinues to be experienced by many women and individuals in the organizations. According tothe previous studies, women are mainly subject to the sexual harassment at workplace because ofthe gender variance. According to the viewpoint of the various researchers, the case of the sexualharassment of women is on rise because of the number of factors such as poor status of women inthe society, more number of working women and lack of knowledge of human resourcedepartment, poor law in the society and no provisions to handle these problems. It is important togenerate the awareness among the women about the current situation and encourages them to takenecessary legal actions against these actions[ CITATION PMc11 \l 1033 ]. According to the Lockwood and Marda (2014), there are many reasons behind the sexualmisconduct at workplace and many harmful effects on the performance of the organization.Variety of the organizational sexual harassment cases are because of the uncomfortable workingenvironment and misusing of the powers[ CITATION Loc14 \l 1033 ]. The impact of the sexualharassment is that it spoils the image of the organization as well as it also affects the employeeturnover rates. However, Lockwood said that it is imperative to take necessary actions by theemployees as well as by the organization itself to eradicate this serious problem.
