CHAPTER 4: DATA ANALYSIS AND FINDINGS
Introduction
The data analysis and findings chapter are the most crucial and important chapter of the
whole thesis because the result of the study depends upon this section outcome only. For
analysing the data which is collected from the 100 employees of the Radiometer, the SPSS tool
will be used in the present study. This chapter will discuss and ensure that the data gathered from
the primary and secondary sources such as journal, books, websites, literature review must be
presented and interpreted clearly by using the tables, graphs and percentage if possible. The
overall aim of this study to identify the impact of the improving supply chain management over
the performance of the business such as Radiometer Medical company. This chapter will also
analyse the demographic data in order to identify the gender, martial status and age etc. of each
of the selected employees.
Survey Return Rate
According to the opinion of Hendra and Hill (2019), the survey response and return rate
means the rate of the respondent receiving and completing the survey accordingly. This return
rate is very important for analysing the data collected because the employees which do not
complete but only responded on the survey are not considered as a part of analysis. The survey
return rate is a percentage of the number of the employees completed the survey out of the total
number of the responded employees. In order to calculate the survey, return rate the following
formula is being used and that is Number of completed survey responses/ Total number of
survey respondents* 100. For data analysis, it is important for the researcher that the good survey
response rate will be come out, otherwise the readers and users will assume that the current study
questionnaire is not valid, up-to-date and reliable questions. In case if the survey collects the
lower response rate, than the data and information which is collected from the employees and
analysed will not be consider as representative of general population.
Respondent profile
The respondent selected for the present study includes the entire member within the
population. This is particularly because of the reason that the method of sampling undertaken is
the use of simple random sampling where in each and every participant within the population
equal chance of getting selected has.

With the above descriptive analysis it was evaluated that most of the people responding
the answers a mail. In addition to this almost all the respondent agrees to the fact that supply
chain management is very essential for the effective completion the objectives of the business.
This is particularly because of the reason that in case supply chain management of the company
will not be effective then this will affect the working of the company. The major reason
underlying these factors that supply chain management is essential because it ensures the
delivery of the products on time and with proper quality. Hence this attracts most of the
consumers and as a result of this the sales of the company increases. In addition to this the
quality of services provided is also a major factor which impacts the performance of the business
to a great extent for stop this is pertaining to the fact that the quality of the services provided is
not good then this will affect it working efficiency of the company and its performance. Hence it
is very essential for the company to manage the supply chain in order to improve the
performance of the company.

For determine the normality within the data graphically the use of normal QQ plot is being
undertaken. This normal distribution assistant the middle and is symmetrical about the mean.
This data is not need to be perfectly normally distributed for testing the reliability. This is a
parametric statistical test which is undertaken on independent sample t test and the data on is
normally distributed. Hence from the above normality analysis it is very much clear that the
business performance is not much affected by the supply chain management. Hence it can be
stated that the males agree to the fact that the supply chain management is not create any
negative impact over the performance of the business. Rather it improve the performance of the
business for attaining the objectives of the business.

With the analysis of the multiple regressions it is clear that the R is 94% which means that there
is 94% correlation between all the variables being tested. In addition to this the R square is 89 %
which simply means that a change in the independent factor will lead 89% change within the
dependent factor. Further with the analysis of the significance value it is clearly visible that there
is a significant relationship between all the three variables under test. This is particularly because
of the reason that the significance value is 0.0 which is less than 0.05. Hence the significance
value is less than the P value hence it can be stated that there is significant relationship between
all the variables.
Summary
This chapter concludes the data analysis and findings of the study by presented them in the
table and graphical format. In order to support the same finding the literature has been used in
this section. From the above analysis it is concluded that the presence and upgradation of the
supply chain management along with their understanding is important for the business in order to
attaining competitive advantage. The analysis also summarizes that will never put negative
impact over the performance of the business if implemented properly and attentively. The SCM
helps the company to improve their business by providing the products of the company to the
ultimate consumers on time. Not only that, the analysis also states that the employees believes
that production planning and demand forecasting helps the company in improving their supply
chain management. Because planned order helps the company to minimize the risk of delay in
material arrival. And also reduces the lead time for the required material if longer period arises
between the current date and the date on which the material is required.

CHAPTER 5: CONCLUSION
Introduction
The conclusion chapter of the study conclude each research question of the present study
such as concept of the SCM, strategies of the same and also its impact on business performance.
The study concludes the concept and the impact of the supply chain management on the
performance of the Radiometer Medical. Basically, the whole study is based on the Radiometer
company and how the company can adopt the strategies and practices of the SCM in order to
improve its internal and external performance.
Conclusion on concept of SCM
The study first concludes the concept and the importance of the supply chain management
within the organization and how the SC helps the company in procuring the raw material from
the suppliers at minimum prices with bargaining power. The study also concludes the if the
Radiometer Medical company will implement a better supply chain in their business than they
are also able to deliver medicines to their consumers on time. The study also concludes that the
supply chain is not only about the purchase of raw material but it is a whole process which
involve the activities from inventory purchase to goods and service delivery to ultimate
customers. The study also states that the SCM helps the company in improving their overall
business goals and objectives. But because the implementation cost of the SCM is quite high
which need special attention of the companies, so it is advisable to the company that they hire
expert for this purpose (Saengchai and Jermsittiparsert, 2019).
The study concludes that the supply chain management of the company are the most
important part of the company because it looks out the all process and activities involve in
converting the raw material to the finished goods. This also states that the SCM is everything
from the production to the product development and from the information system to the direction
to the company. The company have to understand that if they really want to improve their
business and operates it all over the world then they have to understand the importance of SCM
within the business and workplace (Saengchai and Jermsittiparsert, 2019).

Conclusion on different strategies of SCM
This is another research question of the study which concludes the various strategies and
practices of the supply chain management that the Radiometer Medical business can adopt in
order to improve their business performance. For this, the present study uses the quantitative
analysis and also the survey method from each employee of the company. From the survey, it is
concluding that the supply chain management in the Radiometer Medical company needs some
updating and improvement by incorporating strategies. The strategies must be based on the
current environment and trend in the market. After analysing and reviewing the market, it is
concluded that the digitalization and automation within the respective sector are high in demand
(Mee-ngoen, Thongrawd and Jermsittiparsert, 2019).
It is also concluded from the current study that the strategies the company can adopt in
order to improve its business is providing training and development programs to their employees.
It is because the employees and departments of the company are working with the current
strategies of the SCM and any new strategy and practices implementation requires proper
training in order to mitigate risk and error. The strategies are recommended to the company to
upgrade its present supply chain process because it works as a roadmap for the company. The
present study also concludes that these strategies improve the supply of the goods and services
activity of the Radiometer Medical company (Mee-ngoen, Thongrawd and Jermsittiparsert,
2019).
Conclusion on impact of improved SCM on business performance
The study concludes that if the company such as Radiometer Medical will improve its
supply chain management via adopting suitable and recommendable strategies than the
efficiency rate of the company will get improve automatically. It is because with the
implementation of systems, the company will able to adjust themselves more dynamically with
the fluctuate economy, emergency market and shorter life of the product. Not only that, the
present study also concludes that this also reduces the cost of the various areas as improvement
in the inventory systems. The upgraded supply chain management provide the large storage
space for the finished goods of the Radiometer Medical company by elimination the damage and
outdated resources (Péntek and et.al., 2020).

The study also helps in understanding that the strategies of the supply chain management
also improve the relationship of the company with its vendors and distributors. Further, the
report also concludes that one of the most crucial and important benefit of the supply chain
within the organization is that it also improves the communication between the different
departments. And the impact of which the accurate data is transferred from one department to
other department to take appropriate decision related to supply of goods and services (Rajagopal,
Venkatesan and Goh, 2017).
Present Study Contribution
In this section, the report concludes the contribution made by the present study to achieve
the suitable and valid result of the research aims and objectives. For this, the current study has
used the quantitative research approach and deductive analysis in order to reach at a conclusion
of the present theory and concept of supply chain management. The SPSS tool is being used by
the research in order to analyse the data collected from the random 100 employees of the
Radiometer Medical company on SCM existence and importance within the business as per their
point of view.
The study also concludes that in order to make this research successful, valid and accurate
the data is being collected by filing the consent form from each employee. Another contribution
of the present study is that, in order to support the primary data, the research have used the
various data from the secondary sources such as journals, books, literature review, magazines
etc. Not only that, in order to make the whole study successful the secondary data must be
collected from the authentic and reliable source. The research also makes sure that all the data
must be relevant to the current study aims and objectives (Zimon, Tyan and Sroufe, 2020).
Summary
This chapter of overall theses must include the short description of all the research question
which is being answered in detail above. This section of the whole study helps the users to know
the different perspective of the concept and theory of SCM. The conclusion chapter is the most
important part of the whole dissertation because most the users and readers read this part to
identify and understand the aspects of the whole study. It helps in summarising the ways that
helps in improving the process of the supply chain management.

CHAPTER 6: RECOMMENDATION
Introduction
The recommendation chapter of the overall dissertation helps in identifying what
recommendation is provided to the company in order to improve their overall business
performance and supply chain management. This helps in understanding the benefits the
company such as Radiometer will receive from the new SCM strategy and practices
implementation. Along with the benefits the challenges the company will face while strategic
implementation will also be discussed in this section of the research. This is the most important
chapter because the readers will use this thesis part more as compared to other part. It is because
it defines the ultimate solution of the research objectives.
Recommended Strategy 1: Total visibility in supply chain management process
In order to improve the supply chain process transparency and customer trust in this digital
world, it is recommendable to the Radiometer Medical company that they must incorporate the
respective strategy. The increased visibility in SCM process also help the company in increasing
local and international customer loyalty and business profit-earning capacity. The company must
allow their customers to know the delivery date of their products because customers that place
online order as well as order from stores have keen to know when their product will arrive to
their doorstep. Basically, this strategy also encourages company towards the sustainable
practices because with the supply chain visibility, the clients and customers of the Radiometer
company will able to know the entire process. This will help company to present the positive
view of the business against the customers such as reusable packaging to protect and save natural
resources. This strategy also helps the company in managing the consistent process because the
Radiometer company provides various products such as blood testing, blood gas analysis
solution via online delivery (Kuupiel, Bawontuo and Mashamba-Thompson, 2017).
However, the implementation cost of the visibility is high along with managing each task
and activities of the customers on online apps is quite difficult and time consuming. So, the
company also need to provide the proper training to their logistic team and management so that
they can adopt this without any mistake and risk. But on the other hand, the supply chain
management also have to believe that the visibility is a sure-fire idea to gain the trust of the
patients on the company’s products. The company have to understand that the more visibility to

customers the more sales of the products to that customer and the final result will lead to overall
increased business performance and profitability. It will also increase the market share of the
company in the local market as well as in the international market (Nakandala, Lau and Zhao,
2017).
Recommended Strategy 2: Implementation of information technology for providing report to
patients
The information technology strategy is recommendable to the Radiometer Medical
company because nowadays IT is the most important factor that affect the affects the growth and
development of the logistic management. In order to meet the needs of the patients and also
provide them automated lab reports the company can incorporate the particular strategy within
their premises or radiometer medical apps. The ultimate purpose of the company is their
customers needs and health life which is managed by the company more accurately with this
strategy implementation. The ability of the automation is that it generally relies on the robots to
manage, store, locate and pick goods such as medicines, blood testing kit etc. By this strategy the
supply chain of the company will improve but also the safety at the workplace also makes its
own progress. It is happened because the increase in the number of the robots and machines will
reduce and also eliminate the risk of human error and mistakes. Cost reduction is one of the most
important advantage available to the company by only adding automation to the supply chain of
the Radiometer Medical company (Tseng and et.al., 2018).
The logistics information system basically combines the hardware and software together
which further help the supply chain managers of the company to complete their task on time. The
software includes the system and application programs which is used by the company for their
supply chain of goods and services activities. The automation helps the company in removing the
communication gaps with the customers and patients by providing the better customer service.
But the Radiometer Medial company also need to make sure that automation and IT system
require controller from the human resources. And if the human does any mistake while
controlling them then the whole implantations will get fail. Along with that one of the significant
challenges the company will need special focus is security issue. Any digital system of the
company represents the confidential information which further needs the high-quality protection

as well as the high investment of fund. That’s why the Radiometer have to prepare themselves
for this challenge (Tight, 2017).
Recommended Strategy 3: Effective training and development program implementation
The company need to understand that as the customers are more concerned about their
products and services so providing them safe and damage free products at their doorstep is
challenging. That’s why it is advisable to the Radiometer company that they must incorporate
and conduct various training programs in order to improve the employee’s productivity and
efficiency. Training is given to employee’s so that they can understand the purpose and objective
of the company and also work according to this. This helps the employee to became more
productive and skilled towards their task and also, they able to adapt new knowledge and skills
for their personal and professional development. Nowadays, because of the lack of
communication and personal development, most of staffs quite their job. So, this strategy helps
the Radiometer company in retaining the talented employees with themselves. Incorporating the
automation within the organization along with the training of using it to employees will help the
employees to know the exact method of using the using the machines in an effective manner
(Mandal, 2017).
And the impact of which the wastage of the resources by the employees gets remove and
reduce. The trained employees always manufacture and produce the high-quality medical
products and offer services which are eco-friendly and as per patient’s health condition. This will
result into the improved goodwill of the Radiometer company in the local as well all over the
world where company have operations. It is also recommendable to the company that they must
provide the soft skill as well with the hard skills. It is because the soft skills help the employees
in controlling their emotions and anger and help them in remaining happy even at the work
pressure. But while implementing the training, sometime worker mixes the work and training
with each other and lose their concentration towards their task and activities. That’s which
Radiometer company have to ensure that the training is provided to the employees only when
their low work pressure. Because of the too much training program, the result is that the trainee
loses their interest in it which also need company’s special attention (Dale, 2017).

Limitation of study
While writing thesis and dissertation, every research faces some limitation because it is
impossible that the researcher will include all the information in their research study. The same
case with this study also, where the insufficient academic resources, lack of time and money is
the most common. And the impact of which the survey is done for 100 employees only and not
more than that. Along with that, there are many employees of the company that are not ready to
give answers of the question because of the fear. But this limitation of the research study is act as
a proof for that the researcher have done enough research for achieving the objective of the
study. In this present study, there are limited access right available to the research team to collect
the data from the Radiometer Medical company (Clauson and et.al., 2018).
Suggestion for future research
The following future suggestion will be available to the researcher to include the
unanswered aspects of the study next time. This include building up the finding that is not
anticipated this time, addressing limitation of the research, construction of the same research in a
new context and culture (Fu and Zhu, 2019).
