INTRODUCTION
Bad news is the term of negative information within the organization which can affect
overall organization's performance and growth. It is basically a relationship between
management and employment (Aboelmaged, and Hashem, 2018). A bad news is that news which
can drastically change the viewpoint of an individual in negative manner. Impact of bad news on
people is more effective comparison to good news because it is not easy for people to forgot the
bad news easily (Iggers, 2018). This report will helps to analysis the strategies to faced the bad
news in effective and efficient manner. Thus, the report is divided into two parts including
literature review and methodology.
PART A
Literature Review
Literature review is play a important term in research because it is helps to focus on
collect the overall information of the research from different sources. For the current research
literature review is elaborated as under:
Business case
The business case of this report is basically on the topic of delivery of the bad news and it
is affects the employment relationship. There are many difficulties in delivering the bad news
which is faced by organization to delivered the bad news to their employees. In the organization,
bad news can be on product, services, sales, process etc. which can affect the organization
growth and performance. There are many difficulties due to bad news in the company which
reduce the overall performance, sales, increase the employee turnover, decrease the brand image
and others (Boyle, and Mower, 2018). It is also perceived the opinion and perception of the
customers about the product and brand. Bad news can heavily impact on the people so it is the
responsibility of the organization to not deliver the bad news to their employees and customers
because it can affect the overall activity of the organization and also reduce the reputation of the
brand. There are some different ways to overcome the impact of the bad news which can be
relieved by providing opportunities voice, give advance warning, create paper trail, using
disclaimers and many (Coutts, 2019). These solution or ways helps to analysis the bad news and
delivered to customers and employees in effective and efficient ways and also delivered without
hurting peoples emotion and feelings. It is the responsibility of a managers to deliver the bad

news in successful and effective manner which helps in satisfaction of customers and employees,
increase the productivity, retain employee, boost the company performance and profitability.
Theoretical introduction of bad news
It has been considered from the above article, delivered the bad news can creates the
negative effect on people and organization performance or productivity (Reid and et. al., 2018).
It is also affect the employees motivation and morale towards the work for the organization
because due to bad news people cannot give their best on the work and achieve the task.
Manager play a vital role in delivering the bad news because all the information of the company
or organization is delivered by the manager (Eren, 2018). It is the responsibility of business
manager is delivered the bad news in effective and efficient manner to the employees which
helps in employees motivation and morale. Manager is responsible to build the healthy
relationship with employees and customer because they can also communicate with listing the
bad news in positive way. By build the healthy relationship with customers and employees it is
also helps to build the bond of trust and loyalty with staff where they can work effectively and
perform well for future.
Impact of delivering bad news on business performance
According to the view of Hamel, and Zanini (2020), delivering bad news within the
organization can negative impact on the performance and productivity of the organization.
Delivering the bad news can reduce the brand image, reputation, performance, sales and
customer satisfaction. There are many disadvantages for organization of bad news which are as
follow-
Reduce brand image:
Reduce brand image can affect the overall productivity of the organization. It is the most
various kind of challenge which is faced by any organization. Delivering the bad news can
reduce the brand image which is an issue for attract or retain the customers towards the brand. If
a customer listen bad news about the product or brand then it will also negative impact on
company (Margolies, 2018) When a loyal customer of the company listen the bad news then it
can affect on their trust and brand image.
Decrease sale:
Decreasing sale of the product or brand is also the big challenge for the company which
can affected by the delivery of bad news. If an organization delivers the bad news to the
