as Data ownership, design check and liability for the input of data (Srimathi & Uma, 2017).
To eradicate the challenges and issues arising as a result of this implementation the project
manager should take necessary steps such as education and training for the practitioners for
gaining relevant expertise and knowledge regarding the technology. The potential users of BIM
should learn how technological issues can be addressed in this training and education program
along with data protection and information sharing skills.
Reflection on Global project management skills learnt
from the project
Global projects like the one discussed in this report require not only good strategies and
communication skills but also sound understanding of cultural diversity within the project. As a
project manager or leader it is essential to coordinate with the virtual and multicultural teams by
considering their difference in language skills, differences in culture and time zones. To
successfully operate in such culturally diverse project it is also important to have solid
understanding of different leadership theories. With the help of this theories, trusted relationship
can be developed with the team members and other stakeholders (Anantatmula & Thomas,
2008). Moreover, it is important to have sound knowledge of current technologies being used in
the project management domain. For working in global projects a professional should always
remain open to new challenges and learn new things. Training and coaching always aids into
knowledge and hence pursuing them in timely manner is required for the development of one's
own skills and expertise. To be a part of the successful project we must learn to build the
difference and solve conflicts. Again communication and collaboration with various team
members around the world highlights the importance of this skills. There should be an effective
communication strategy defined along with techniques, templates and rules to effectively
brainstorm and communicate over distance (Binder, 2009).
