INTRODUCTION
Designing and Developing Products for the Internet of Everything (IoE) is discussed in
the following report in which the development of technical devices is covered which uses the
internet of things (IoT) systems. The basic difference between internet of everything and internet
of things is that internet of everything describes as the connection between people, process, data
and things created with the web of things whereas the internet of things describes as the
connection between physical technical devices or connection among various machines (Kim,
Kim, Shin and Shin, 2019). Therefore, the following discussion is based on the internet of
everything and its importance along with the description of the project which includes designing
and development of the product with the help of internet of everything and internet of things.
Scope, aim and objectives are also discussed along with the functional and non functional
requirements of the systems. Moreover, discussion is also done on the outline of the solution
which includes IoT system and its working along with the sensor and other devices used which is
followed by the architectural design of the chosen IoT system and working of all protocols used
in designed system and also discussion on the issues and application areas of the system which
includes commercial context and privacy or security issues with findings and conclusion.
MAIN BODY
Define IoE and describe its importance
Internet of everything can be defined as the intelligent connection among people and
process along with the data and things termed by CISCO. Its communication occurs among
machines to machines, machines to people and people to people as well. It includes internet of
digital, internet of humans and internet of things. Importance of IoE is seen in various sectors
such as home automation, smart cities, education, industry, healthcare, smart grid, businesses,
supply chain management, technology and in agriculture. IoE made the functioning of such
sectors in an easy manner for better working of the machines with people (Ji, Wang, Song and
Mumtaz, 2021).
Provide a brief description of the project
Project is all about designing and development of the product or device which has used
the concept of internet of everything and internet of things in order to formulate well. Home
automation sector is used among all the sectors where IoE and IoT is used. Product or device

designing and development is all about system that can measure and monitor humidity and
temperature of home in an accurate and correct manner with better effectiveness and efficiency
(Desai, Alhadad, Chilamkurti and Mahmood, 2019).
Scope and aim and objectives briefly
Scope: Scope of the project defines that it will help to gain the knowledge about coding and
concepts of IoE. Moreover, home automation is something which is considered as the most
desirable by humans for comfort (Stankovski, Ostojic, Tarjan and Babic, 2019).
Aim: Aim of the project is to design and develop the product using internet of everything which
includes the designing and development of the system that can measure and monitor humidity
and temperature of home.
Objective: To use all the deliverables specified as per the given scenario in designing and
development of the home automation system.
Requirements of the system - Functional and non functional
Functional requirements of the system that can measure and monitor humidity and
temperature of home: Accuracy and linearity along with the reliability and repeatability which is
followed by the response time as well.
Non Functional requirements of the system that can measure and monitor humidity and
temperature of home: Capacitive and resistive along with the thermal which is followed by the
coulometric and gravimetric and also microwave and infrared (Bhattacharjya, Zhong, Wang and
Li, 2019).
Outline of the solution
Type of IOT system implementation
Internet of things system that has been implemented in designing and development of the
home automation that is the system that can measure and monitor humidity and temperature of
home is the Wi-Fi technology used in the form of cellular networking. Moreover, internet of
things is further divided into three versions that is consumer internet of things, enterprise internet
of things and industrial internet of things. In the current scenario, consumer internet of things is
used as a system because it has the nature of home automation (Domanska, Gelenbe, Czachorski
and Tzovaras, 2018).

Working of IOT system
Wi-Fi balances the high capacity load and provides scalability along with the
management of network system and role based access control which covers indoor and outdoor
options as well which is followed by the ability to measure the performance also and network
access control. Consumer internet of things provides the product personalization and faster time
to market along with the enhanced experience and responsive services which is followed by the
support in decision-making and potential for efficiency and also energy efficiency (Marques,
2019).
List of sensor or sensors and other devices used
Sensors and other devices used in designing and developing the home automation system
which includes the measurement and monitoring the humidity and temperature at home are
distributed hash table (DHT 11) sensor and Arduino UNO (one) microcontroller along with the
ESP8266 Wi-Fi module and cloud which is followed by the Monitor that is the display screen
and power supply (Mohammadian, 2019).
Rendering the entire architectural design of the chosen system of IoT
Chosen internet of things is based on the home automation system which measures the
humidity and temperature at home with the help of Wi-Fi connection and consumer internet of
things used in the designing and development of the product for IoE. First stage in the given
figure is of the power supply which is necessary to activate the connection. Second stage is of the
DHT 11 sensor and Arduino UNO microcontroller along with the ESP8266 Wi-Fi module and
cloud which connected internally and with the power supply as well. Third stage is of the display
screen in the form of monitor or LED which is connected to the previous stages in the
architectural design (ISLAM and SHUVO, 2018).

Rendering thought process and working of all communications protocol used
Power supply supplies electric power to an electric load which converts electric current
from a source to correct voltage. DHT 11 sensor includes NTC to measure temperature and a 8
bit microcontroller in order to provide the output the results of temperature and humidity in the
form of serial data. Arduino UNO microcontroller is a open source electronic platform which
reads inputs and turn it into an output. ESP8266 Wi-Fi module host application or offload Wi-Fi
networking functions from an another application processor. Cloud is used test and development
in the given scenario. Display screen is used display the results of measurement of home
humidity and temperature (Băjenescu, 2018).
Discussion on the issues and application areas of the system
Commercial context
Issues and application areas of the system in context of commercialization are such that if
automation takes place in homes itself then services related to the automation provided by
companies to gain profits can reduce which can negatively affect the commercialization in
context of earning. For example, measurement of humidity and temperature at home services can
be provided by some companies but if home already have that device than there will not be any

use of the companies who are providing such services (Marques, Pires, Miranda and Pitarma,
2019).
Privacy/security issues
Issues and application areas of the system in context of privacy and security are such that
if automation takes place in homes itself then they can face the compromised security systems
which permit intruders to deactivate the systems, failure of device if centralised communication
hub breaks, eavesdropping on communication systems, hackers can access the home networks
and internet if things based distributed denial of service attacks. Therefore, privacy and security
measures are essentially required while implementation of such systems (Miglani, Kumar,
Chamola and Zeadally, 2020).
CONCLUSION
It is concluded that designing and developing products for the internet of everything
(IoE) is an important concept to learn and study in order to apply such applications in a real time
development of products using IoE and IoT. System that can measure and monitor humidity &
temperature of home product is covered in the above report along with all the requirements and
measures of a system. In order to be successful of the project as per the given scenario then it is
important to analyse the concept of IoE and its importance, it is essential to examine the
description of the project, it is necessary to determine the scope and aim and objectives, it is
significant to gain the knowledge about functional and non functional requirements of the
system, it is crucial to assess the outline of the solution, it is imperative to investigate about the
sensors and other devices used, it is vital provide the architectural design of the chosen IoT
system, it is required to study the working of all protocols used in designed system and it is
needed to learn the issues and application areas of the system. Hence, this report covers all such
areas in order to better understand the concept of IoE and IoT.
