1.0 Project Manager’s Report
1.1. Summary of Performance - Overall
Schedule – The project will be delayed by 6 days due to implementation of fingerprint
scanner in the system before system design a data migration. However, the 6 days delay
cannot be mitigated by starting any other activity early or re-scheduling other activities.
Budget – The project has shifted to $24,240 from approved baseline project of $20,000.
The increase can be covered under the contingency plan approved by the project sponsor.
Quality – All work has been managed as per the standards and metrics of quality
management plan.
1.2. Summary of Performance – This Reporting Period
The planning activities have been done as per the schedule.
No delay was reported in planning activities.
No team conflict was reported during the period.
Project plan was completed 100% with the approval of project sponsor.
1.3. Corrective Actions Undertaken This Reporting Period
Security cover was identified during this period which is required to be implemented to avoid
any illegal access to the patient’s data. In order to do this, fingerprint scanner needs to be
implemented which results in delay in project’s completion.
Data migration – Hospital management decided to handover the data migration to the
development team.

All benefits remain unchanged as per the table given below:

3.2.Scope Changes since last report
3.2.1. Data migration of existing system into new system
Initially it was not deicide to include the migration of current data into new system. The hospital
management was reluctant in providing access to the old and manual system. They decided to
transfer it manually to the new system. But the estimated cost of manually doing it turned out to
be very high and time-consuming. So they have proposed to get it done along with the new
system development at the fixed cost of $20,000. This increase in the project budget was
approved in change request mentioned in section 1.
3.2.2. Fingerprint installation
During the development of the project and data migration, this data may get be assessed by
illegal or unauthorized staff. This risk was analysed by the project management team and it was
then decided that a fingerprint security is required to be installed whenever an access to the data
is required. Also, it has been decided that the data cannot be modified by any staff unless
approved by the hospital management. The scope of the work includes installation of additional
