Project Progress Report<Insert Project Name> 1.0 Project Manager’s Report 1.1.Summary of Performance - Overall Schedule – The project will be delayed by 6 days due to implementation of fingerprint scanner in the system before system design a data migration. However, the 6 days delay cannot be mitigated by starting any other activity early or re-scheduling other activities. Budget – The project has shifted to $24,240 from approved baseline project of $20,000. The increase can be covered under the contingency plan approved by the project sponsor. Quality – All work has been managed as per the standards and metrics of quality management plan. 1.2.Summary of Performance – This Reporting Period The planning activities have been done as per the schedule. No delay was reported in planning activities. No team conflict was reported during the period. Project plan was completed 100% with the approval of project sponsor. 1.3.Corrective Actions Undertaken–This Reporting Period Security cover was identified during this period which is required to be implemented to avoid any illegal access to the patient’s data. In order to do this, fingerprint scanner needs to be implemented which results in delay in project’s completion. Data migration – Hospital management decided to handover the data migration to the development team. 2.0. Benefits Status since last report All benefits remain unchanged as per the table given below: StatusComments Unchanged Reduced Enhance No delay in the initiation phase where in all planning related to the proposed system had been done. - A positive attitude towards the new IS has been observed among the staff of the hospital. Increase in number of registrations as the patients are early waiting for the new IS to store their data and they want to know how can they access data from any location. page2of20

The hospital management was reluctant in providing access to the old and manual system. They decided to transfer it manually to the new system. But the estimated cost of manually doing it turned out to be very high and time-consuming. So they have proposed to get it done along with the new system development at the fixed cost of $20,000. This increase in the project budget was approved in change request mentioned in section 1. 3.2.2.Fingerprint installation During the development of the project and data migration, this data may get be assessed by illegal or unauthorized staff. This risk was analysed by the project management team and it was then decided that a fingerprint security is required to be installed whenever an access to the data is required. Also, it has been decided that the data cannot be modified by any staff unless approved by the hospital management. The scope of the work includes installation of additional page4of20

Project Progress Report<Insert Project Name> 6.0Review of Team Performance The coordination and interaction among the team members has been improving day by day. This is because of weekly meetings of the team. In the meetings, conflicts among them are discussed and appropriate actions are being taken. Project manager also holds one-to-one meetings with the team members. Developers and testers have coordinated with each other to minimize the delay in accommodating bugs arisen in the project. Also, after resolving the bugs, the updated project is reviewed by analyst and project manager. This results in updating the entire team about the progress of project. The analyst and design team also respond to any issue begin faced by the developers while developing the system. Hospital management is being involved from requirement analysis phase. No negative performance issues have been reported in this period. page15of20
Project Progress Report<Insert Project Name> 7.0 Stakeholders Status 7.1. Stakeholder issues that have eventuated since last report Project sponsor held an urgent meeting with the team to review the performance review. However, no negative variance was found in the work. The system was in designing phase hence it did not create any halting in work of the hospital. Hence, staff is yet to face the issues during the dat a migration and they are still in accepting mode. The need of fingerprint system was identified in the beginning but it will result in delaying of the project. Hence, there will be a negative impact on the project’s schedule and budget. 7.2. Stakeholder issues requiring focus in next reporting period When data migration begins, the staff may have to halt their working for couple of hours which may change their Avoiding delays in time line and increase in cost of overall project of the Information System development 7.3.
