The discussion according to me, has clearly indicated the importance of nurses knowing
all the signs of human trafficking especially children since they are the main victims of this
problem. I agree that when nurses are in a position to detect all these signs, solving this problem
will be much easier (Coyle, 2018).
The solution on how to deal with this issue has also been clearly given and this is the best
way to do it. Any nurse suspecting any form of human trafficking should first call the relevant
authorities (Coyle, 2018). I agree with the idea of a nurse building the child’s trust by things like
helping the child physically, meeting their needs like food and water. This will help the child to
open up to the nurse when they interrogate the child in the attempt to get the right information.
I totally concur with the idea that the role of a nurse is to care about others and any nurse
should not be too busy to notice these signs. The hands of these children whose rights are being
violated are in the hands of the nurses (Breuer, 2019).
