1. Develop achievable goals for the project
Royale Pizza is experienced in food service industry provided higher quality as well as
authentic Italian pizzas. The organization offered its customers with a menu list of fresh food
through an online delivery method plus offline channels. The industry has wider customer base
included locals as well as tourists those can cater towards requirements of customers with
various backgrounds. Achievable goal of this particular project is to boost the superiority of food
as well as raise into yearly sales by 30% with increase its profitability by 25%. The shop owners
of Royale Pizza are decided to modernize its pizza store as well as buy new types of equipment.
There is development of the commerce by serving of foodstuffs such as fish, chips and pasta.
There is also a reduction of food wastage so that the business can increase its profitability.
In order to measure the project goal, a project summary is formed, which is used to track
project advancement. The project planner performs a project meeting with the project team
members to prepare a comprehensive outline included goals, milestones, in addition to key
project indicators. A clear project deadline is established so that all the project activities should
complete in the scheduled timeframe. The project manager is preferred to work with the final
project deadline.
2. Scope statement for the project
Royale Pizza has a wider range of the customer base included locals as well as tourists.
They are focused on catering requirements of a varied range of clients with various profiles. The
scope of this project is to modernize its flooring, setting up of the air-conditioning scheme,
painting, growing compressor aptitude, in addition to specialized cleanout of the kitchen exhaust

system. There is also an addition to extra equipment in the shop included purchasing of deep
fryers, boilers, dough roller, point of sale system with the fitting of proper software along with
hardware to run it. Rear area of the shop is to remove and offer food preparation area for staffs,
and therefore installation of the equipment is done only after the finish of the construction-
related activities. As a renovation project, the shop owners are aimed to build extra dining-in
spaces for serving to the customers. There is required to acquire two new sets of the chairs as
well as moveable tables. Following are the in-scope of this particular plan work such as:
 To finish the project effort in 4 months from the starting date of the renovation
work and start the project from 1st March
 To estimate the total cost of the project roughly to be around AUS$ 40,000
included all the key project stages
 To close the shop at the time of building, fitting and painting activities, therefore
there is no sales plus revenue forecasted on that particular period
 To involve the technical manager in supporting the shop re-design, the basis of
procurement, release and setting up of the new equipment
 To lessen food waste along with raise productivity of Royale Pizza by 25%
The out scope of this project is that training is not provided to the staffs to work in
technical work, and there is no hiring of extra resources for completion of the plan (Kerzner
2017).
Renovation of the shop will reduce the operational expenses by around $15,000 per year,
and the project work will be successful in the project will be delivered in 10% of the approved
budget. Following are the deliverables of the project plan, such as:

The project has limitations of resources in terms of cost, time, equipment as well as
human resources. Due to delay in one of the project activity, there is a delay in the entire project
budget and timeline (Meredith, Mantel and Shafer 2017). There is required to add extra resources
those have technical knowledge and skills to work in the Royale Pizza project. It is assumed that
the sponsor provides proper support by funding the project so that it can get success and
complete on time.
The scope is to set project goals as well as objectives at reasonable timeline of project
plan. The processes or methods which are used to determine the project scope are:
i. Identification of the requirements to renovate the shop, increase in food quality
and enlarge in twelve-monthly sales moreover profitability
ii. The SMART goals of the project are to decrease food waste and 25% raise in
business success. The goals are measured using key performance indicators and
achieved through tracking the project (Fleming and Koppelman 2016). The
renovation of the ship will increase the quality of the services and cause the
project to meet with set deadlines. The project is to be completed by four months.
iii. The project plan will be accepted when proper pricing of food; customer values
and quality of services, availability of food delivery are provided. For the
employees, there is the efficiency of new operational processes of Royale Pizza.

3. Project delivery life cycle methodologies
The most popular project delivery life cycle methodologies are Agile, Scrum, Waterfall,
Six Sigma and PMI. Based on the case study, Royale Pizza decided to renovate a pizza shop as
well as buy new equipment for expanding its business to serve food to the customers. The
selected process or methodology is PMI (Project management institute), which guides detailed
onset of project management standards (Heagney 2016). In this particular project of Royale
Pizza, the phases of the delivery life cycle process or methodology are:
Initiation: In this project phase, the project manager identified the business need, problem
and opportunity that the project team can meet with the project goal. The project manager is
undertaking a feasibility study to deliver a solution to the business problem due to a small space
in the shop. They identified the project deliverables and project stakeholders to provide product
based on project goal (Kerzner 2018). As the business case, the shop owners decided to renovate
its shop included flooring, installation, clean-up of kitchen exhausts system as well as an increase
in compressor capability and addition of new equipment.
Planning: After approval of the business case, the entire project is broken down into
smaller tasks and schedules the entire project as per requirement (Kerzner 2017). The identified
project stages with its planned duration and budget are design (1 month and AUS $5,000),
procurement & delivery (2 months and AUS$ 18,000), construction (1 month and AUS$ 7,000),
installation and painting (2months and AUS$ 10,000). Therefore, the total scheduled timeframe
is six months and the total budget is AUS$ 40,000. The timeline and budget are visualized using
a Gantt chart. The equipment required for renovation is also identified to complete the work.

Execution: In this phase, project meetings are conducted to keep work on the right track,
organize the project team, and manage the project timelines plus work based on the project plan.
All project updates are provided to stakeholders (Turner 2016).
Monitoring and controlling: The project team members ensured to meet with time and
quality of their project tasks. They monitored and controlled the project schedule and budget to
keep it on track based on assets plus resources (Kerzner 2019). This phase is used to oversee
project tasks that are approved in scope, on time and budget.
Closure: The project manager determines whether the goals of the project are meeting,
the plan is on time and on a budget plus evaluating the performance of team members. The
project closures are documented and conducted post-implementation review of the final project
plan (Siegelaub 2017). Lessons learned are also provided for the project.
All the project successes are measured using tracking the project activities and its progress.
