CE 2.2 Project Background
CE 2.2.1 Characteristics of the project
Drills are the most common machine that is in trending among most of the industries
including do-it-yourself projects, woodworking, construction, and metalworking and many
varieties of the drills are available in the market. It has been in trend from long before the
automated electronic machines have been came into trend. I proposed a 3-Directional drilling
machine that can be applicable in drilling the holes in various movements and at various
locations in and high efficient and effective manner. I developed a design that was suitable
enough to enhance the productivity through reducing the human effort and machining timing
throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

CE 2.2.2 Objectives developed for the project
I lead the team for accomplishing the project delivery in efficient and effective manner
and it was concerning to develop a sophisticated and achievable set of objectives. I asked the
team members to follow the following set objectives in manner to reach to the successful project:
 To enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the drill machine
 To introduce 3-directional drilling within the drill machines
 To utilise the simple and basic functioning and mechanism of the drill machines
for enhancing its efficiency and effectiveness
 To optimize the drilling parameters of the drilling machine through utilizing
Taguchi Methods
 To execute the project successfully and achieve all the objectives and goals
CE 2.2.3 My area of work
I had to develop the drilling machine that can be operated in various directions and
various drillings in efficient and effective manner. I used the following equipment for the
development of the drill machine:
