INTRODUCTION
High performing teams are the building blocks of top class organizations and are enabled
by the effectiveness of the individuals within the organization. Besides, developing individual
performance helps the organization to develop an effective team goals. By performing the work
through teamwork it’s been great to exposed the better goals and objectives. Present study based
on the developing an individual and team performance with aim to enhance the overall leading
development task. For this, study has chosen Hightown Housing Association which is a firm who
provides support to people in several ways. Further, in this report explains appropriate
knowledge, skill and behaviours that are required by HR professionals. Besides that, it also
discusses the personal skill audit and to determine the skills, knowledge and professional
development plan for expressing the future outcomes.

Appropriate knowledge, skill and attributes required for HR advisor
Human resource advisor is a disciplined that requires leadership and management
training necessary to build the skills that business executives are looking for. HR practitioners
who have a deeper knowledge of relevant areas and more practical skills generate more
opportunities in the corporate world (Bengtsson and Carlson, 2015). HR advisor should have
some following skills and attributes, skills and knowledge through they can create new
opportunities for the people.
Knowledge Required
Personal and Human resources : Personal and human resources are the another most
required skills that should have by the HR Advisor of human resource required to know about
these principles so that they can make better and maintained the proper working environment
within Hightown Association.
Administration and Management : Knowledge of business and management principles
are very important in which some elements are covered such as strategic planning, resources
allocation, human resources modelling, leadership techniques, production methods and
coordination of people and resources. Apart from that it contains the best following manner and
brings the most effective level of goals and opportunity.
English Language : Knowledge of languages also be the most important knowledge that
HR advisor should have (Bolden, 2016).

Law and Government : Rules and regulations are the required knowledge that human
resource advisor consists in order to resolve and make the company free from unnecessary
implications. Legal codes, legal procedures, governments regulations, agency rules all such
information must be there in the HR advisor.
Education Training: HR professional are responsible to make employee more talented
and competitive by arranging the training and development sessions as per the requirements.
This knowledge or new ideas can help organizations to build up the effective team performance.
Skills required by HR advisor
Active listening: Active listening means to understand people thoughts and perception
what they actually want to express. HR advisor is the person in the company to whom employees
directly contact and expect the good results. For that, they should have such capabilities to listen
up what they saying and their purpose.
Speaking : HR advisor should be a good speaker to convey the information to others in
appropriate manner.
Management of Personnel Resources: HR advisor should have the quality to direct
people as they work, identifying the best people for the job. HR advisor also must know or
having that quality to motivate employees towards the goal accomplishments.
Critical Thinking: HR advisors should have that capabilities to make the best decision
making process on the basis of the strength and weaknesses of the alternative solutions.
Negotiation: Negotiation is the another skill of HR advisor through they can take the
better deals with employees and become cost effective for the company (Bondarouk and
Brewster, 2016). It helps to motivate the employees' satisfaction goals and full fill the company
needs and wants as per the following task and situation.
Reading and Comprehension: To understand the business language and written
document of the businesses should be understandable by the company in order to beat out the
best outcomes and goals.
Monitoring: Monitoring skills helps person to better evaluate the individual performance
of an employee within the company organization so that it can better help to make the decision
making approach. This skill is another most required skills that should have in the HR advisor.
Serving orientation: A good presenter of the company is HR manager who showcase
about the company and its roles and policies at the introduction and orientation process on the
