INTRODUCTION
The leadership and management are the different aspects that are more related to the
various styles that are used by the leader and the manager that get associated with the company.
It helps to make the better change within the business by improvising the working capability of
the employee that brings positive in the ability and the skills that helps to gain better advantage.
These both are more vital for the growth and development of the business and this will support to
induce more innovation and the define set of ideas by which all the work will get superior
(Alhefiti, 2019). They help the employee to get easily accept the change that emphasis the ability
and attitude of the employee towards their goals and job specification. The leaders are the one
that brings more supportive impact under which they will have make reflective changes by which
the aptitude and talent of the employee will get improved. On the other hand the manager will
operate the various functions and under that they have works with the motive to accomplish the
target of the company. This report is based on the Farmfoods limited that is the supermarket
company and it is based on Cumbernauld, Scotland and having the headquartered in UK. It is the
report that includes the basic definition of leadership and management, theoretical approach of
leadership and management, comparison between the contemporary leaders and methods by
which the manager and leaders could develop.

Leadership is a word that is based on the diverse approaches and the style that is used by
the leader while managing the different function that are operated within the company on random
basis. Whereas, the management is the approach that is used by the different managed to get
solved the different problem while ensuring that the result will be in the favour of the company
and helps to make more profit and better sales (Bell, 2018). Leadership is an art that is used to
bring the perfection in the working style of the company they have influenced other to get work
with more redundancy. They have a lot of people that get follow them due to their attractive
behaviour and attitude towards their work by which provide the adequate path to the employee
by which they could easily brings higher heights in the personal life. The leader is the one that
could make the better interaction with the different employee and for that ensure that personal
growth has been achieved by which more satisfaction will get achieved.

The management is the process through which the managers makes the better change
within the company and ensure that all the employee performed their task with more easiness
and with that the target will get accomplished within the timely manner. There are some of the
different task that is performed by the managers as like planning, coordination, execution,

2020). They have worked with more zeal and ensure that the objectives of the company will get
achieved in effective manner. There are some different situations that are upraised on continuous
basis and that will get managed by the manager through their different skills and reduces the risk
rate and in parallel enhance the profit ratio of the company. The manager are the one that are
always be more confident and have a well known experience with that effective change and
apply different strategy to make profit in the competitive market. The leaders are the one that
provides the adequate path to the company by developing the skills and ability of an employee
that are working within the business. On the other hand the manager is the one that who can
make the change in the company as from their efforts and enthusiasm. Farmfoods is the largest
supermarket chain and operates the 300 number of stores and provides the diverse products and
the services by which more profit will get attained. There are various roles and the
responsibilities that are played by the leadership and management that are as explained below as:
The different roles and responsibilities of leader within the Farmfoods:
Couch team members: It reflects the leadership style that is used by the leader and
under that they will provide the appropriate guidance and couching to the employee by
which they could work with more zeal and in that their personal strength will also get
developed. In that the leader of Farmfoods imparts easier environment with the store by
which working efficiency will get more developed and is a profitable cost for the
company.
Expand the potency of team and precede the scrawny area: In this the leader has that
responsibility under which they have identified the different strengths of the employee
and then sharpen it more. On the other hand also analyse the weaker areas and in that
work on that areas to get develop better sufficiency (Bush, 2019).
Recognize and review goal and improvement of the team: It is vital important that the
employees are getting more satisfied and for that they have induce more effective
transform as it helps to get better success and more developed. The leader of Farmfoods
