Developing Leadership Mind: Skills and Techniques

This report discusses the skills and techniques required to develop leadership mind. It emphasizes on increasing participation in activities, being curious, positive, communicating effectively, seeking solutions and being resourceful. The report also highlights the importance of a leader's ability to handle situations, solve conflicts and find good in bad situations.

LEADERSHIP 1
Introduction
Leadership is an ability of an individual to guide the other individuals, teams, and the
entire organisation. It is a process of social influence in which the person can easily
manipulate the other person for the particular task. It also supports the people for the
particular task and encourages them to make things easier (Pardey, 2016). A leader requires
the many skills to perform these activities. The main purpose of this report is to develop the
leadership mind.
Ways to develop the leadership skills
More projects
A great way is to develop the leadership mind is to take the more responsibility
towards the work and handle the more projects at a time. To leave the comfort zones is the
best way to develop the leadership mind because a person can learn the new things and he
also learn to manage the multiple things. More participation in the activities and projects
develops the skills of a person such as management skills, guiding skills and many others.
Increasing skills develops the leadership mind of a person (McCaffery, 2018).
Curiosity
To develop the leadership mind, a person should always have the curiosity to learn the
new things. Curiosity of learning new things develops the innovative and creative skills of a
leader in the person. A curious mind and love of learning is the part of leadership and that is
one of the skills of a good leader (Redmond, & Dolan, 2016).
Positivity

LEADERSHIP 2
A leader knows about the importance of positivity when it experiences the reality of
life. I think a good leader should know what is right into the wrong for the team and the other
individuals. To finding the good things into bad is a positive mind-set which is necessary for
a leader. To develop the leadership mind the person should be positive in every stage of life
and situation (Buchanan, & Kern, 2017).
Communication
To communicate with the people helps the person to understand the behaviour of
people. It is the responsibility of a leader to communicate with the team members so that they
can solve the problems. To solve the problem the person requires to know the about the
behaviour of member. A person learns the new things; solve the conflicts by communicating
with the people. Solving the conflict between the members is also a leadership skill for the
people. It can be said that the communication is a source for a person which can develops the
leadership mind.
Solution-seeking
Solving the complicated problems is a leadership skills of a leader which can be
develop by taking the initiative in the real life. A person should hear the things of the both
side to solve the situations. A person who found the right situation is a good leader. By
solving the real life problems and situation helps to develop the leadership mind. Solutions
are the major skills for a leader which cannot easily develop in the person. A person should
take initiative to learn to survive in the situation (Fernandez, Noble, Jensen, & Steffen, 2015).
Resourcefulness
A leader makes the things easier and that would be a skill of a good leader. To
develop this skill a person should take the actions in the critical situation to make the

situation best but it is not an easy task to do. I think a person action encourage the others as
well for their dreams. A person can also learn more, do more and become more by making
the every situation best. Real life activity and participation develops the leadership mind in a
person personality (Dunn, Ho, Odom, & Perdue, 2016).
Conclusion
From the above analysis, it has been concluded that the leader has many skills which
helps the members. A leader can handle the many situations, solving the conflicts, makes the
situation better, find the good things into bad things and many other skills. According to
above discussion, the person has to learn the new things and develops its personality to
develop the leadership mind. Positivity, curiosity, resourcefulness and many other factors
which were discussed earlier develops the leadership mind. Participation in the real life and
initiative towards the good activities helps the person to be a good leader.
