Introduction
Along with the rising competition in the market, various factors have been affecting the need for
management styles for conducting any business for the organization. The report will discuss the
principles of management behavior in the organizations and their impact on the person that is
developing for achieving the desired success. The report will discuss the management styles,
leadership characteristics, communication process and organizational culture in different
organizations. The report has also put the focus on management skills that requires SWOT
analysis for developing the personal skills. The report will discuss the ways for motivating the
team and the decisions that are required by the organization to be taken in any situation. At last,
the report will discuss the personal and managerial skills that are required for increasing the
growth of the organization.

1.1 Compare various management styles
The tourism industry in the UK is growing at a huge speed which is contributing to the nation’s
GDP. The organizations like Saga Holidays and British Airways are providing best quality
services and products to the customers. The management styles of both the organizations are
described as below:
Saga Holidays
Saga Holidays is the organization which provides the cruise services to customers from more
than the 65 years for enduring the holidays by turning them into an unforgettable event which
adds the value to the customers (Schoar and Zuo, 2017). This cruise is popular as it provides
services for 50+ customers also. Recently in 2005 Saga faced the huge economic stagnation but
after Andrew Goodsell came into leadership, who was the tour operator of tourism bought it on
the very high place. The employee satisfaction can be achieved by focusing on achievement,
advancement, and responsibility.
According to the observation, Saga holidays use active management style that is effective for
running operations and engaging with the staff members. This style is mainly effective for
fostering the motivation and creativity for implementing new idea. Organisation is effective to
direct the staff and will collect activities for improving the process of planning for meeting with
the standards of the business. Active style of management is effective for motivating staff
members and helps to increase the margins of profits.
British Airways
The UK’s biggest service provider is British Airways which positioned himself at the second
position after the EasyJet that offers a high number of passengers and it operates in 150
destinations all over the world. Recently, it had also faced bankrupt and then the Willie Walsh
has used its management styles to bring it back to the economic crisis. In the year 2010, he
merged British Airways with Iberia which had taken over the Midland International (Rahim,
