Task-1:
Innovation theories concepts:
i. Jobs to be done: It is done so to have an understanding about what kind of challenges
are faced by employees in an organization so to implement solutions of these
problems in a proper manner for developing the product in an interesting manner so to
serve the buyers well. Here, emphasis on the understanding level and not the opinions
of people particularly. Works have to be done to satisfy the customers successfully.
ii. Ten types of innovation: It is based on the consideration of profit model, network, and
structure, and process, the performance of the product, product system, service,
channel, and brand as well as on customer experience. It helps in achieving the
greatest share in the market (Min and Christian, 2017).
Comparison of these with past innovation:
TRIZ is a theory, which solves problems with the help of using principles. It applies only
when a solution is not obtained from other theories as well. It is compared with the jobs to be
done theory, as it solves all types of problem while jobs to be done give a solution of
problems relating to the consumer and it is effective while TRIZ theory is not applied easily
to solve the problem.
Three Horizons theory in which horizons created for implementing current, new and future
innovations in business. In this change his role in the organization. It is compared with the ten
types of innovation as it includes in its scope only change management while ten types of
innovation include many factors for making a successful company.
Thinking of theory to applied practice:
Innovation and creativity play an important role in the business as it is not only used in the
business but also in real life. It is a basic part which needs to be adopted for developing
something new. It is also applied to various types of professions. One of the examples of
innovation is seen in the iPhones as it uses great technology (Yusof, 2012).

Impact of Leadership Style:
Different leadership styles lead to having a different kind of innovations, as leaders provide
guidance to employees. It has 4 types of dimensions in it which includes people, means,
effects and goals. In Directive and Participative leadership, power is in the hands of leader
only and workers are allowed to do work only without asking any question. So, the
possibility is in participative (Khan, Nawaz and Khan, 2016).
The relevance of organizational and industry context on innovation:
Innovation is necessary for introducing new products, doing changes in the existing one and
for cutting the cost of its products. In this regard environment and cultural factors to be
considered. It is also helpful in implementing new ways of doing business by making changes
in the production process and in selling and distributing goods to clients. It is a process for
attaining goals in the company for making it more effective and efficient. It is linked with the
know-how, creativity, change and it is required to make the organization in a profitable
position (Pourkiani, Farahabadi and Komak, 2013).
Internal and External Factors of Organisation Innovation:
Internal factors are those situations which are found at the internal level while External deals
with factors which are outside the scope of business.
Internal Factors:
a. It is to be seen in the company’s mission statement.
b. Leader’s existence.
c. The flow of information is communication.
d. Structure of the organization.
e. It can be done through by learning as it responds according to the environment’s
needs.
External Factors:
It includes PESTEL Analysis of company’s location from where it is standing. (Antonelli,
Crespi and Scellato, 2012). It means political, economic, social, technological, environmental
and legal factors

Strategies for managing risks associated with innovation:
Some corporations are failed due to the adoption of wrong innovation so it is very necessary
to manage the risk of this in order to avoid an adverse situation in the business. Five Ways for
managing risks meritoriously are:
a. Checking the return of all models before the implementation of a particular one.
b. The drawback has to be seen (Abbie Griffin, 2014).
c. An external factor is seen because sometimes model is chosen without predicting
risks leads to failure of the situation.
d. Keeping in mind the interest of users.
e. Consider the infrastructure required for the model implemented.
Examples of Innovation Drivers:
a. Teams: It is a group of people who come together for doing innovation.
b. Enterprise: It is the enterprise in which both individual and team members exist for
creating innovation in business.
c. Offerings: It is because of this, the product of the company is changed as compared to
its competitors.
d. Culture: It lies in its policies and behaviour of management (Five ways to create a
culture of innovation in the workplace, 2019).
e. Market Conditions: It does not matter as innovation makes good in the bad phase also.
Examples of Innovation Enablers:
a. Vision: It is a viable solution which solves the problems of its clients.
b. People: It does not happen without the employees as they work on the innovation
practice which is set by management (Johnsson, 2017).
c. Resources: It is a basic part which has to be followed for generating products.
d. Environment: It is through this change happens in the organization.

Steps to be followed for supporting innovative practices:
Step1: It is a scalable platform which provides many opportunities such as creating its impact
on culture, employees and for developing good business ideas.
Step 2: Hiring of specialists for the purpose of the job to identify the challenges which are to
be faced in the future as well as present on the business.
Step 3: Focus on selecting the right person to the right job position so to achieve the goal of
the organization well. It is done by selecting the right kind of team of experts as they can
evaluate the possibilities and threats of the innovation in business (5 Steps to Building an
Effective Team, 2015).
Step 4: It is necessary to set up an idea management tools for implementing the idea in the
best way.
Step 5: Focus on achieving the targeted innovation for greater understanding.
Step 6: It has to manage innovation practices for adopting innovation in the business.
Step 7: It has to give motivation to employees and its manager for achieving success.
Mechanisms for promoting innovation:
a. Broadcasting: It is a common practice which is applied so to make innovation as a
challenge to the audience for developing the solution of this.
b. Brainstorming: It is implemented only when the need is not derived properly for
developing a new type of product for its design appropriately (5 mechanisims to
promote innovation, 2019).
c. Licencing: It is required for creating well-based technology in the company’s product.
d. Networking: It is done through communication only as by this it is easy to get the
support of employees.
e. Expertise: It can also hire expert team members for doing change easily.
