INTRODUCTION The developing manager is termed to the solution or a process of crafting improvement inthe set of skills so as to manage different operations and functions of the business in order toaccomplish personal and professional aims and objectives. In addition to this, it also involvesdifferent leadership styles, cultural and social development, training and development of theworkforce which possess significant impact on behavioural, cognitive and environmental skills.This presented report compare different management styles which is used by the business so asto maintain standard and flow of services in order to meet the satisfaction level of customers andstaff members (Ang and Van Dyne, 2015). Organisation like TUI and Thomas Cook renderquality products and services to their customers taking into consideration effective and optimumutilisation of resources. Therefore, in order to achieve organisation aims and objective both theorganisation takes into consideration different management styles and the comparison amongboth the organisation is being explained below (Badewi, 2016):Thomas CookThis organisation is especially known for its high quality travel and tourism goods andservices and for that role of management and their staff member is termed to be critical enoughso as to maintain such defectiveness in the quality of products and services. As per theobservation it is being ed that the top management of Thomas Cook takes into considerationactive management style in order to maintain and run operations of an organisation in an

effective manner (Bolden, 2016). In addition to this by using such style Thomas Cook focuseson maintaining safety, self actualisation and physiological needs which help them to motivateand influence the staff members so as to improve their performance. Moreover, this style ofmanagement is used in order to direct the staff and to collect their feedback so as to makeimprovement in their performance level. Thus, it helps the organisation to meet thebenchmarking standards for individuals.TUIIt is also one of the leading organisation in travel and tourism sector of United Kingdomwhich offers full time services to its customers. The top management of TUI organisation usesconsultative management style so as to manage the quality of products and services that theyrender to its customers. This style is being used by TUI so that manager and supervisor can makethe forecast about the needs and activities of the employees (Dixon, 2017). Additionally, as perthis style of management manager offer training and development session to its workforce so asto motivate its employees in order to meet the requirement through optimum utilisation ofresources. In addition to this management collect information and views of workforce anddevelop the plan and strategies for design and quality of products and services and accordinglydeliver the services to its potential customers. Thus, it is termed to be the conceptual processdetermining the standard and target analysis so as to meet the values of offering quality servicesto its customers.Differences between consultative and active management style which is being used by theThomas Cook and TUI organisation Active management style: This management style is used by Thomas Cook and it termsto be different from Consultative management style because its is a type of portfoliomanagement strategy which is used by Thomas Cook in order to make specific investment with agoal of outperforming a target return. Moreover its is used to direct the workforce and to collectfeedback of the performance level of employees so that improvement can be made in thereperformance level.Consultative management style: This management style is used by TUI and its istermed to be different from active management style because it possess different characteristicsas under this style manger consult with other team members before taking the final decisions.
