Establish the aims, objectives and timeframes based on the chosen theme
1.1 Aims and objectives of the project
Aim of the project
The aim of the project is to investigate the used of digital technologies and their impact on
business activities of Michael Kors Holdings Limited.
Objective of the project
The objectives of the project are as follows:
To investigate the digital technologies those are being used by Michael Kors
Holdings Limited.
To examine the impact of each digital technologies on respective business activities
of Michael Kors Holdings Limited.
To analyze the overall impact of digital technologies on different business activities
To provide suitable recommendations to Michael Kors Holdings Limited in order to
improve the implementation of digital technologies
1.2 Produce a project management plan that covers all the aspects of cost, scope, time,
quality and resources
A survey has been done in order to ensure the impact that the digital technology has affected
the business activity of Michael Kors Holdings limited. A detailed project management plan
is carried out that covers all the aspects of the cost, scope time, quality and the
communication risk and the resources of the business organization. Huge number of
technologies has developed nowadays. In the way of conducting any business, the digital
technology has a huge impact and great revolution in this field. In order to keep all the
records about the implementation of digital technology in the company in all the aspects like

management, marketing, human resource and accounting and financing department of the

survey, telephonic survey, survey through emails and fax, which have been done by the
researcher in order to gain information about the business company and how the digital
technology has influenced all the business activities of Michael Kors Holding Limited.
Personal interview with some of the managers have also been conducted by the researcher to
have a double assurance of the records and previous phase of the company.
The scopes of the project can be categorized as included scope and excluded scope.
Included scope helps in analyzing the impact of the digital technology in the business
activities of the Michael Kors Holdings Limited. The included scope also helps to analyze the
customer satisfaction level that the customers have obtained from the Michael Kors Holdings
Limited. Included scopes are generally the scope that is included within the project.
Excluded scope helps to understand how the digital technology has highly influenced the
entire industry and the excluded scope is also capable to analyze the level of the customer
satisfaction from the total industry that is the entire huge retail industry. Generally, the
excluded scopes are those which are not mentioned within the project (Crane et al., 2015).
