Diversity is the integration of the
people from different social or
cultural or other backgrounds
Effective usage of diversity
offers various benefits to the
societies and also reduces the
different societal evils faced by
the marginalized individuals
Adequate usage of diversity also
improves the quality of life
which is being led by the
individuals

OVERVIEW OF THE
DISABLED PEOPLE
More than 50.7% of the people
residing in Australia suffer from
one form of disability or the other
(Humanrights.gov.au 2019).
The disability that these
individuals face both encompass
physical and mental disability
These individuals have to face a
substantial amount of
discrimination and other kinds of
societal evils within the framework
of the nation of Australia.

CONCEPT OF DIVERSITY
The social exclusion that the disabled
people face within the nation of
Australia had adversely affected the
quality of life that they lead.
This had substantially limited the
number of growth or development
opportunities that are available to
them.
Thus, their inclusion within the
Australian society would not only
contribute towards the diversity of the
concerned nation but also improve the
quality of their life as well.

CULTURAL AWARENESS
Cultural awareness refers to the ability of
the individuals to understand the inherent
differences between the cultural traditions
that are followed by them with those of
others (Betancourt et al. 2016).
This helps the individuals to not only
acknowledge the cultural traditions
followed by others but also respect them
as well (Maciel and Wallendorf 2016).
Thus, for the reduction in the amount of
societal evils that the disabled people it is
important for the people to take the help
of the concept of cultural awareness.

CULTURAL SAFETY
It is the provision through which the
individuals are made to respect the
inherent differences in the cultural
traditions followed by themselves and
others (Henderson et al. 2018).
This helps in the mitigation of the culture
or social differences related disputes and
thereby ensures the effective completion
of the different projects of the
organizations (Tummala-Narra 2016).
Thus, the usage of this concept becomes
important for the reduction in the societal
evils faced by the disabled people.
