Disability in Childhood: Deviation from Socially Constructed Notions of Childhood and Life Course Progression

This presentation discusses the deviation of disability in childhood from socially constructed notions of childhood and life course progression. Case study scenario:
Lisa, child of 7 years old has been facing dyslexia, which is language
based learning disability which is language based leaning disability where
she has been facing issues specific language problem in reading and
speaking practices.
The child has been facing difficulty in speaking, communication and
proper abilities where the family members experience showcase that
disability has been bringing various issues among child health priorities.

Models of disability
 The social model of disability and functional model of disability are two
most effective models of disabilities found, where this will enable to gain functional
knowledge of the latest aspects and to further attain productive steps for
improvement of disability.
Analysis of current service provision for Lisa, will enable to recognize medical
facilities for disability improvement where dyslexia has been found to be variedly
rising as one of the most specific issue.

 As per analysis, Lisa faces issues in proper studying within school where she is not able to develop

attentiveness of medical factors and significant aspect connected to range towards cognitive
attributes are proceeded.

Strategies and services for proper recovery
Disabled children are further supported with proper policies and
therapies to further enable proper development in children and families
immediate response.
This further can be analysed that Lisa families has been taking child
to therapies sessions, where involving body movement in learning and
proactively using explicit, systematic approaches in teaching and
reading further enable to develop motivated growth among Lisa further
abilities.
