Abstract
The present study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of globalisation
over increasing the performance of an organisation, however, globalisation is
a crucial aspect which provides a wider platform to the businesses to
increasing the operations and progression of the business. In this specific
study, the suitable analysis is executed over Unilever Plc for better
recognition of the aspect of globalisation as the company is having its
operations at all around the globe and implementing globalisation as the way
of increasing opportunities for the business. The major potential behind
implementing the study is connected to evaluate the significance of
globalisation in developing opportunities for the business to attain
advancement. In the present study, qualitative method is being implemented
to aid the project in right manner, therefore, this is the best method to
execute descriptive evaluation via the integration of concepts, theories and
models. In this analysis is being executed via the support of applying
secondary sources, thus, here secondary sources like books, journals,
articles and so on are the major source of data collection. Furthermore,
thematic analysis approach is implemented to execute data analysis in which
discusses is carried out over the information accumulated in the literature
review. In this themes are developed that covers the aim and objectives of
the research. After that, conclusion and recommendation is developed over
the findings of the project and initiates the potential effectiveness of
globalisation and how it drives business success. Recommendations is
effective in providing future support to the business.

The present study initiates to evaluate the effectiveness of globalisation
over increasing the performance of an organisation, therefore, this is a
widely considered area of study which helps in evaluating the potential
importance of globalisation in developing the operations of business within
wider level. Globalization is a leading concept that has become the main
aspect in business life during the past few decades (Beuving, 2013).
Therefore, this phenomenon influences the economy, business life, society,
and environment in different ways, and almost all corporations have been
influenced by these changes. These changes are mostly related to increasing
competition and the rapid changes of technology and information transfer.
Globalisation is effective in providing a wider platform for the businesses to
explore their operations and increase in their operations to gain more
profitability and growth. However, in the modern business era the key
motive of each small as well as large business enterprises is to attaining
higher growth and success and globalisation works as the effective key for
the business to achieve higher progression. In this present analysis the study
is being executed over the study of Unilever Plc, therefore, it is a large
British multinational consumer goods company which has its operations at all
around the globe (Brambilla, 2015). Therefore, the business is working based
on the objectives of gaining higher profitability and for this, business is
concern over implementing globalisation to develop the operations of the
business.

Background of the Company
Globalisation can be defined as the opining of a wider local and
nationalistic outlook of an interdependent world global market with free
transfer of capital, goods, and services across national border frontiers.
Globalization can also be considering as the shrinking of globe, where the
developing unity of the global economic order via reduction of barriers to
international trade, likewise tariffs, import quotas, and export fees (Cohen,
2018). Globalization does not hinder the movement of free market; however,
it would have a negative impact if applied to a fragile economy. Therefore,
for better understanding regarding the topic Unilever Plc is select to execute
detailed analysis, thus it is a wide British multinational consumer goods
company which has its headquarter is in London. The firm was established in
the year of 1929 by the coordinated efforts made by William Lever, James
Darcy Lever. The company deals in wide variety of products which involves
food, candy, energy drinks, baby food, soft drinks, cheese, ice cream, tea,
cleaning agents, coffee, pet food, bottled water, toothpaste, chewing gum,
frozen pizza, pregnancy tests, juice, beauty products, personal care,
breakfast cereals and consumer healthcare and so on. The company is
having around 155000 employees who are contributing their significant
efforts in the growth operations of the business. The major reason behind
selecting Unilever Plc is that, it is a large business organisation and already
having its operations at wider level.
Problem Statement
In this an analysis is executed to determine the aspect that globalisation
has been fair for the business or its operations, therefore, in the increasing
competitive scenario businesses are facing the issue of not to be promoted
at global level and increasing their progression ability to gain more
advancement and competitive edge (Cooke, 2012). The project initiates to
evaluate the effectiveness of globalisation in increasing the operational
ability of the business.

The project into consideration is based on evaluating the effectiveness
of globalization over increasing performance of the business. Therefore, it is
a wide area of investigation which is imperative in exploring individual idea
and recognition in relation the aspect of globalisation. The project is mainly
considered because businesses are facing the issue of increasing progression
and the study aid in rendering suitable assistance to the businesses to
increasing the performance of the business via implementing globalisation
(Corstjens and Lal, 2012). The another intention of executing this analysis is
the personal interest of the researcher as the investigator wants to explore
own idea and knowledge in relation to the specific subject.

As per the analysis of this chapter it has been analysed that, globalisation
is a crucial aspect and mainly recognised as a process through which an
individual or goods and services can easily move from one place to another
or globally. Therefore, it is all about the interconnectedness of individual and
the businesses around the globe which eventually aids to global culture,
political and economic integration. The present chapter is based on
enhancing understanding about the chosen subject area and an appropriate
discussion about the effectiveness of globalization over increasing
performance of the business. However, Unilever Plc is a largest and well
known British multinational consumer goods company, which has its
operations all around the world. Thus, in this analysis is specifically executed
over Unilever Plc, because the company is having its operations all around
globe and very concern over implementing globalisation to enhance its
profitability and development. Hence, the suitable recognition about Unilever
will lead to better understanding about the effectiveness of globalisation and
how the businesses is implementing as the effective tool to increase the
profitability and performance. Furthermore, rationale is imperative in stating
the reason of executing the study over the specified area of globalisation.
Thus, it is an effective concern of modern business era and knowledge
regarding the aspect is imperative to aiding business operations in right
manner. As well as, the study is also imperative in enhancing individual idea
and knowledge in relation to the specified area.

Literature review is defined as the most imperative aspect of the
investigation which is effective in developing a theoretical framework to
support the entire project in right manner to generate suitable results (Crane
and Matten, 2016). This section of dissertation is relay over gathering
information from the secondary sources i.e. books, journals, articles and so
on. In the context to this existing project based on the aspect of analysing
the effectiveness of globalization over increasing performance of the
business, literature review is effective in conducting descriptive evaluation to
enhance understanding about the specific subject.

According to Koop (2019), globalisation refers as the integration of the
economies and the societies through across the boundaries of a country in
manner of managing the flow of information, goods, services, technologies.

the free trade. Globalisation is mainly relay over opening of local and
