INTRODUCTION
Development introduces as an effective process that creates positive change, progress,
growth or the addition of economic, social, environmental, demographic and physical
components. Development is important for individual, teams and organisation. Personal
development introduces to those activities that enhance an individual's potential, talent, ability
and consciousness to create wealth. Developing an effective team is also consider essential
aspects of success and growth in a practice. Along with this, development of organisation is
defined as the better use of organisational resources to enhance productivity and efficiency
within a workplace (Belbin, 2012). Therefore, development of organisation, teams and individual
is more essential and important for the success of company. For this report “HIGHTOWN
HOUSING ASSOCIATION” is given charitable organisation. Main aim of this organisation is
to support people who want care and help or who cannot afford to purchase or rent a house at
market values. This report is divided into two different sections which includes skills, behaviour
and knowledge for an HR adviser role, and inclusive learning and development. Apart from this,
high-performance working and performance management will also cover in this report.
SECTION 1
a) Knowledge, skills and attributes for HR Advisor
For maintaining better relationship among team members and generating healthy working
environment, the role of human resources plays a vital part within an organisation. This is
because, human resource are mainly obliged for managing entire working process and also to
take best corrective course of action in terms of acquiring improved level of manpower
satisfaction and motivation. Moreover, HR Advisor are concern with those individuals who are
capable enough to act as a consultant by enhancing HR procedure, enrich employee relations and
encourage staff development (Blandford, 2012). Therefore, trenchant skill, knowledge and
potentiality is required for an individual to accomplish organisational goal in a better manner.
Henceforth, in regard of High town Housing Association, some of the knowledge, skills and
attributes for HR Advisor has been identified which is discussed below:
Knowledge
Knowledge about policies and procedures: Under this criteria, it encompasses all
policies, system, procedures, regulation relate to HR for improving the overall performance of

company. Therefore, Ii context of Hightown Housing Association, it HR Advisor must be aware
about all regulations and rules of HR so that they can easily make best strategic decisions and
can solve all sort of complex business issues in an improved manner.
Familiar with recruitment and selection practices: This phase is link with hiring best
candidates for filing the vacant position in an establishment. Thus, in context of High town
Housing Association, it is required that HR Advisor must be able to recruit and select a pool of
skilled and talented workforce who can put their best effort towards an achievement of goal and
can enhance firm's productivity (Bolden, 2016).
Skills
Communication: It is considered as an integral element for every individuals as it lead
them to generate impressive and healthy working culture at workplace. Hence, in relation to
High town Housing Association, its HR Advisor should be able to convey all important
information to its personnel in clear and transparent manner. Due to this, they can easily reduce
the occurrence of misunderstanding, conflicts, misconception, disputes within team members as
well as can enrich firm's overall productivity.
Team handling skill: In this determinant, it signifies that the ability of an individual to
manage a group of members and encouraging them to put their best effort for an
accomplishment of desired objective in a given time frame. Therefore, High town Housing
Association's HR Advisor needs to identify each personnel skill or ability and based on that
delegate them required role and responsibilities in order to obtain improved level of profit
margin ratio.
Attributes
Employee relations: This feature is relate with building a long lasting relationship and
managing the entire functional unit in a better way for strengthening the firm's brand value.
Hence, High town Housing Association's HR Advisor should be capable enough to fulfil the
need of manpower and also encourage them to take participate in company's activities. This is
because it enrich establishment overall performance (Holden and et. al., 2012).
Decision making: It is attribute which states that making corrective actions with an aim
of obtaining high level of employee satisfaction and engagement. Thus, High town Housing
Association's HR Advisor must be capable of determining the issues and according to that
