DIVERSITY VIDEO REVIEW ASSIGNMENT
1) Our Priorities for a Diverse Workplace- L'Oréal:
This video by L'Oréal tells about the company’s priorities regarding diversity and the
challenges it faces in various parts of the world. In Pakistan, L'Oréal’s workforce is
young population including young mothers. So, the main agenda for diversity
management is to understand their issues and problems to have a more inclusive work
environment. In Kenya and Italy, governments have been promoting diversity in the
workplace via various regulations. Now the primary challenge that the company faces
is regarding its internal implementation. The top priority is to include more: women
employees, employees with disabilities and employees of different ethnicities
(L'Oréal Talent, 2015).
2) A Look at What Diversity Means at Starbucks:
According to former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, the main reason for the
company’s success is the diversity of people working for it. This diversity provides a
rich pool of talent that can offer a lot to the company via their different perspectives
and vast experiences. The company promotes these differences as it sparks innovation
and this diverse workforce can better resonate with varying needs of its large
customer base. Starbucks endorses a holistic approach to diversity management as it
believes that diversity and inclusion is not a destination but a journey to long term
success (Starbucks Coffee, 2015).
3) The Importance of Diversity in the Workplace- AT&T and Coca-Cola:
This video explains that diversity management does not just mean promoting the
traditional diversity of race, gender, ethnicity and sexual orientation but it also
embraces the diversity of thought, background, and education. Diversity is a core
business strategy as the companies believe that inclusive work environment will help
their business: this will help them hire better talent by being more relevant to the
current diverse workforce and this will allow them to address the local markets
effectively (Seeprogress, 2012).

4) Inclusion Starts with I- Accenture:
This video is about “Inclusion Starts With I” campaign by Accenture which
emphasises the importance of an inclusive workplace. It tells that the absence of such
an environment hurts the performance of diverse workforce as they face various
hardships because of their gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, background,
culture and ethnicity. This campaign video celebrates these differences and it
encourages every employee to embrace this diversity so as to have a more inclusive
work environment (Accenture, 2017).
